I don't think a better thing could happen to this country. I may even join some kind of Texas secessionist Party if it'll expedite the process.

I'd be all for it, too if wouldn't cripple the rest of the country.........texas is an economic net gain for the country.....it is also the only state in the union besides alaska that could be energy self-sufficient

you libbie boobs don't know a good thing when you see one

I can't imagine the low self-esteem that forces you to immediately run to namecalling, but be that as it may..........

Texas is NOT an economic net gain for the country - - it receives more from federal largesse than its tax payments.

I hope we could give Perry his wish.

Lets build a wall around it and give it to Mexico. I'd bet more of it's citizens than US citizens live there already anyway.

sentiment your ideological allies instituted ... but we understand... it only applies when you guys use it...

anyhow, please explain how Texas could be self-sufficient on energy? are you talking about their oil reserves, which peaked almost 40 years ago?

Funny, if you had been conscious this week, you'd realize that the SUBJECT was put forward at a TEABAGGING by the GOVERNOR OF TEXAS.

    Direct your comment to HIM.

I'm OK with building a wall around it, but I'm not sure Mexico would want Texas, and vice-versa.
