I am giving these two people "my neo con blessing" if they have stayed together all these years I say "good luck girls" if I was there I would have "thrown rice".

Indeed. I can't imagine being with someone 5 years, let alone 55. Good for them.

This thread is off to an impressive start!

There is something heartwarming when two people who have been together that long get to be the first ones married.

My great-grandmother outlived 4 of her 8 kids, and narrowly missed two others.

    Weird how it works.

She said she wanted to live to be 100. She focused on it, and made it, and once she had her big family reunion birthday party, she lost her reason to live any longer, started to decline and died before 101.

I just read that some guy in Massachusetts just attended his 90th reunion at Phillips Academy. He's 107 years old. Humphrey Bogart attended the academy and lived across the hall from this guy.

It's an interesting story but I don't want to stay off topic, so I'll just leave the link below

Hahah FBN, I almost choked on my dinner when reading your posts. I love how a serious and relevant topic like this can get to the 3rd grade level so fast. And that's no a criticism, I've been making jokes about it as well.

Just don't let the word police hear, you'll be accused of homophobia. Even joking about stuff isn't acceptable, just ask Don Imus.

No it's not...we're all basically stuck at the third grade level anyway...for the most part.

Although there's one here that's still in nursery school and needs his bottle warmed up. I won't say who...but it's been reigning a lot today.;)

So true. I don't know how people go through without humor. It seems so important to me for dealing with anything in life.
