Sounds like the victim was traumatized, and hopefully the charges will be dropped. Can you post your evidence that Fuller is left wing? At least with Loughner, we know he was anti-government, anti-abortion, and pro-gun, so he clearly had some conservative sympathies. But, by all means, I assume your lack of sympathy for the victim has to do with your belief that he's left wing. What's your evidence?

Full of it much? It was one guy. Your ploy here is rather transparent with the plural label in the thread title.

In fact, it was a 63-year-old man who was shot, angry and disgusted that a gun loon (see, we can do it too) was blathering about guns.

If it was tea baggers who got gunned down, and an NAACP advocate started running his mouth at their memorial service about civil rights, there's little doubt your camp would be calling for blood also.

    Grow up.

So, looks like we have a loony on the right and a loony on the left, albeit one that just got knee-capped by the right-wing loonies; something of a mitigating circumstance, IMHO.

But of course everything everywhere must always be morally equivalent, right? In any event, he's been involuntarily committed, something that Arizona has evidently learned to do of late.

Also... KGUN? Wow. Dickens is alive and well, in spirit at least. Jim Kelly too.

Hey wait, does this mean that Khaos claims that Jews kill Christian babies to make matzot? Or does that only work if Sarah Palin says it?

Why would you title your thread "LOONS" plural when, by all accounts, it was one LOON, singular?

    Not dramatic enough?

    Problem being truthful?

    Wishful typo?

Aren't you supposed to tell me how you cannot condone Fuller's violent rhetoric?

Let's start with your intellectual dishonesty first, then we can cover that. Liar.

No, you're response is intellectual dishonesty. How in the world do you know the guy was left wing? After all, the Congresswoman was a Blue Dog Democrat. She is left of the Republicans, perhaps, but that's about it. I think you're simply trying to avoid the fact that you made intellectual leaps without out evidence whatsoever. I have no idea what Fuller's politics are, but if he supported Giffords, he's not left wing. And regardless of his views, I stand by the belief that he was probably traumatized and should not have appeared in a forum so soon after the incident. At the very least, Jan Brewer, Loughner, Fuller, the evidence that AZ is a really mentally ill state is mounting.

Most idiotic thread that have seen in a long time, makes me mindful of posts by the religious zealots of days past...

Methinks that mental illness is not the sole venue for the residents of Arizona..

No by "loons" I was capturing those who ascribed the tragic events to Palin and the Tea Party -- the statement is fairly obvious. Nice try.

So you think Fuller was justified in making death threats?

Jan Brewer, you just disagree with her politics but nice way to devalue true mental illness... sickening.

    Loughner... truly disturbed.

Fuller... was on all the left wing outlets lashing out at the right wing and made several headlines. Maybe you don't read that much? He's a self-proclaimed operative of the Democrat party. I'm not stretching at all here. He's a hypocrit of the first order and one of the reasons that there is so much bitter partisanship. FROM THE LEFT.

This rush to defense of a guy MAKING DEATH THREATS after the recent events is really sad. Really lefties, can't you at least adhere to the condemnation of violent rhetoric you were all so quick to falsely accuse of?

Nice thought out response to hateful violent rhetoric. So, rather than comment on the sad truth you blame the poster rather than the facts. What makes your opinion valuable again?

    Doesn't make sense, khayos.

Your title reads "Left Wing Loons Make Death Threats Against The Tea Party....."

It is a direct statement and it is plural and it is attached to an article which tells us about ONE dude who made ONE remark which was pointedly directed at ONE member of The Tea Party, not a bunch of "loons", not a bunch of death threats, and not directed at the entirity of The Tea Party, all of which you claim in your title headline.

These three little pluralizations makes it an overly dramatic, deliberately sensationalized and totally untruthful statement by which you attempt to color something much worse than it actually is.

That wasn't even a nice try.

Besides which, it wasn't a "death threat," it was a statement using the word "dead." There is no reasonable way you can defend calling it a death threat...especially since you've all gone out of your way to describe everything Palin, Rush, and everyone else has repeatedly said by explaining that violent words used in political speech are nothing more than metaphor and substitution.

Using your own logic "You're dead" simply means, "We won't vote for you next year."

Unless you want to change your position on what crosshairs, targets, bullet holes in signs, "reload" and second ammendment remedies really means......and if so, I'll gladly admit that this guy literally meant "you're dead" as "I'll kill you," based on political past practice.

So... you're inventing my position for me?

Why did the guy have to get pulled off the set of CNN and get arrested for everyone's safety? Do you think there MIGHT be a difference? Or do you just lump it all together in your irrational stew.

EDIT: it wasn't CNN, it was ABC... I always link Armanpour to CNN.

He's also a man who's just been released from the hospital after being shot twice himself and who witnessed over a dozen of his friends and a 9 year old girl seriously maimed or killed - as well as a person with a history of mental illness, himself.

He's also heard the man whom he threatened, the leader of The Tuscon Tea Party, Trent Humphries, make the statement that a woman he much admired, Gabby Giffords, "brought it on herself."

Tucson Tea Party founder Trent Humphries: Debate over Tea Party unnecessary in wake of shooting

Let's also not forget that he was not arrested and, as of last night, charges had not been filed - he was simply taken to a mental health facility.

Edited to correct: That was, apparently, last night's news. It seems he has been charged with one count of threats and intimidation and there's a possible disorderly conduct charge in the works.

Or maybe you don't read much, either.

Typical lib. It's everyone else's fault but the person who DID IT.
