    Former Led Zeppelin frontman Robert Plant denied he was now part of the establishment after being awarded a CBE by the Prince of Wales at Buckingham Palace.

    I think he maybe the only one of this generation of musicians Not to have one. I went over the list of CBE's one time, i wasa surprised that even David Gilmour has one, not that he doesn't deserve one but hs been the the background most of his carreer. They have and order of the CBE just for entertainers/artists.

    Gilmour got his in 2005 and is higher up on it than Plant.

    He did some really interesting work with Allison Krauss.. some stuff is good, but he never really reached his range.. would love to see a Led Zep reunion.. good for him.

    Tried to see LZ in 1975 at the Garden, unfortunatley it was the night the garden was sacked by people there to buy tickets. A few of my friends and i watched as thousands ripped the place apart. Naturally the people that ran the garden thought if thats whats going to happen when people are here to buy tickets whats going to happen at the concert, so they cancelled it.

    The CBE, along with the Nobel, has been greatly devalued in recent years.
