“I’m rooting for the Patriots,’’ said Bird before watching his Pacers beat the Nets Tuesday night. “I always go with the Boston teams, and I could never root for a New York team. Come on!’’

Not going to quote the scumbag writer this came from, if you'll excuse me, just thought this was worth sharing.

He goes on to say that his son (of all things) is a huge Patriots fan. In Indy, that's pretty unusual.

The Bird is the word

Larry Larry Larry..........can still hear the chant from the old garden

Larry Legend FTW!

If it has NY or NJ in front of it I hate it ... I was born that way ... hating NY/NJ teams is part of my DNA.

My man crush for that guy will never die. He is a living legend.

I'm a little surprised this is even news.

I'd fully expect a former Boston athlete to live, and breath other Boston sports.
