My laptop lcd screen (dell inspiron b120) starting getting colored thin vertical lines along the left side of the screen. It seems like there is a new line every day, and now i have to use a clamp to squeeze the top left part of my laptop or the screen will fade completely and i won't see my cursor. When clamped, the screen isn't faded, but the lines remain. The lines are NOT there when i tested with another monitor. Neither is the fade, it looks normal. I was thinking of buying a new laptop, but i really don't need to. I like this one. so i could spend 600 for a new one... or buy a new lcd screen w/ inverter for 180 on ebay (including shipping) I'm just worried that if i did buy the replacement screen, i'd try it and it wouldn't fix the problem and then i'd have to buy a new laptop anyways. Has anyone had this problem or know anything about this? is it tough to replace a laptop screen?
