Knighton says goodbye?

Doesn't sound like it I'm guessing outright cut
Couldn't get more than a 7th at this point I think anyway

Would have been a huge shock a month ago, less so now.

The Patriots are the ultimate meritocracy...if you get outplayed, or your cost doesn't seem value, you are out of here.

I hope he does well elsewhere. All the best!

I wish him well.

This move says a lot about the talent we have there with Valentine and company. And a lot of it is positive.

Now Branch, Brown, Kuhn, Valentine, Johnson, Hamilton are the top remaining guys still on the roster.

And Joe Vellano stays longer. Those BB pics must be revealing.

That's sad, I wanted him to succeed here but at the same time names don't make the roster in NE. Gotta earned it. That means we have a nice group of players to play DT, I like that.

Too bad it didn't work out but they must like their talent at DT.

I guess now It's Kuhn vs A. Johnson.
Stability and back up in case something happens to Brown, Valentine, Branch
vs. versatility and disruptiveness?

My Vote goes to Johnson purly from a spectator view.
He did struggle @Carolina but he was disruptive, he has constant energy - also for teammates,
he offers even more versatile D and he's fun to watch.

Why wouldn't they keep both?

I'm not sure it would have, this is a guy that's been one and done on lesser rosters, and then had almost no interest from the league in the offseason.

I'm disappointed in this as I think Pot Roast is a better player than Kuhn. At the end of the day he just didn't get it done on the field and he doesn't have enough cache here to overcome that in preseason here.

Painful but fair and classy parting I am sure

Hopefully Knighton doesn't join Colts Jets Steelers Ravens Bills and become a thorn in our heel.

It would be a surprise for most but BB might do just that.

Last year they had 4 run-first fatties and Easley as a rusher.

Same thing in 2014.

If you buy the fact that Kuhn is decent vs the run then they have Brown, Branch, Kuhn and Vinny V as the run guys and Johnson as a penetrating DT.

No surprises others look better ie...Mr Valentine

Drafted in 2009 and already looking for his 4th team.

Roast has had an up down career beginning in Jacksonville. The guy cant stick on teams like the Jags and Skins?
