    (see what I did there)

    Per Rotoworld:

Ravens released OLB Sergio Kindle from their practice squad.
Kindle, the 43rd overall pick in the 2010 draft, is shaping up as a bust. The fact that the Ravens didn't even see fit to keep him on the practice squad is confirmation he's not part of GM Ozzie Newsome's long-term plans.

Edit - Only reason I'm mentioning him is because I remember him being a draft binky on this board a few years ago.

A lot of people here liked him. I wonder if the same people will be requesting that we kick the tires.

I seem to remember Bruschi was pretty pumped about him pre-draft. Kindle has lots of talent, but maybe not so much good judgment.

    #12 Jersey

Never sign a player with the first name Sergio (Brown,Kindle ect)

Unless you are an agent looking for a fine French Singer or model to push for stardom, forget ever hiring a guy named Sergio

I remember the outrage when the Pats picked Gronk and then Kindle went after right after him some people were killing Bill.

    Whoops

"Is shaping up as a bust"? Way to go out on a limb, Rotoworld. The guy was cut and cleared waivers months ago. He has 1 career tackle.

IIRC, a lot of folks here liked Kindle in the draft from watching him on the field, but most draftniks discounted him after he was revealed to have a truly astonishing collection of red flags next to his name. Serious knee damage, concussions, ADD, narcolepsy, you name it.

Here's a pre-draft thread where we were feeling sorry for his precarious career prospects:

I'm still (happily) amazed that the Ravens took the plunge so early.

That outrage was from the usual suspects. Most people were pumped with the Gronk pick.

    #91 Jersey

Now the Pats have had some misses in the 2nd round, but I don't think we've ever had one that was such a complete whiff before. I mean all they got out of this kid was ONE tackle and dressing for 3 games.

That being said, he had some great measurables and a lot of people were high on him late in the first and into the 2nd round

They drafted him even after it was revealed he had problem knees and was getting microfracture done, IIRC.

The Ras-I Dowling pick in the second round of the 2011 NFL Draft surpassed that.

Dowling has been a steady contributor compared to Kindle. Not saying much, I know. But that just goes to show how much of a bust Kindle really was.

One out of many Ozzie Newsome second round draft busts, or at least mediocre picks. :D Adam Terry, Dan Cody, Dwan Edwards. Terrence Cody hasn't overwhelmed. Gee, maybe Ozzie should take lessons on how to draft in the 2nd round from BB.

As far as second round busts go, I certainly hope Ron Brace got his money's worth at the buffet table.

Personally, I am an iPad guy, but I hear the Kindle Fire is a pretty good product.

I agree with you, but so what?

Kick his tires in the off season. If he sucks as much as I think, cut him. If not, keep him. It costs nothing to look.
