Needs more looks/targets I think. He may have gotten a big head after the Saints victory...but, he is legit.

Good bounce back game for the kid he was targeted twice and caught both. I couldn't really tell you his progress based on just 14 snaps but he seems to be a solid 4th wide receiver.

    No Jersey Selected

won't be able to say until he's done a 2nd year with the team. shows flashes of great play and just needs to be more consistent.

wish he was on there at the end so he could his height for possible jump balls

KT and AD are both very improved players. They get more reliable as they go along. One play I liked was on the final drive with about 10 seconds left, Brady fired it relatively short to Dobson on the outside. I had a heart attack thinking the clock had run out but it was a quick throw and catch and he got out of bounds. I was impressed by that.

He played decently last night. I saw him beat his man clean off the line a couple of times but never got any looks on those routes. He needs to do that consistently and be where he's supposed to be and not drop passes before he earns the complete trust from Tom.

He got a lot targets early on out of necessity (injuries, Dobson rounding to form/developing). Now KT has to start earning targets rather than having them force fed to him. If he keeps playing his role like he did last night, he has a good shot at doing so.

The good news is, if he keeps working on his craft, it might take WR off the list of needs in next year's draft.

He's catching the ball. Who knows how he's really progressing with Brady, that can be hard to tell.

Think KT will be fine and mature into a steady receiver, my only skepticism is his past and will he be able to stay on the right path or do stupid stuff....

Thompkins needs to be WR3 over Edelman. His presence would open up the field even more.

Edelman has a good role on this team. He's a stud PR and a starting caliber slot WR backup to the most glass slot WR in the league. As an outside WR in WR3 packages, he's been underwhelming though.

The thing that struck me was that Thompkins was wide open on those plays. The guy knows how to get separation. Hope to see him get more looks as the season progresses.

WR is already well down on the list.

    TE.
    C.
    OG.
    DT.
    CB (assumign Talib leaves).

Then maybe you can think about WR.

Excluding Edelman (who could be back but is a UFA) we have Dobson, Amendola, KT, Boyce and hopefully Harrison develops. Other than a late round flier that's what we have and we have too many neeeds to add to it.

And this doesn't even include any free agents they might bring in. Adding a mid-level veteran WR wouldn't surprise me, especially given the overall youth at the position and the ever-present risk of a sophomore slump (or in Boyce's case, a possible lack of development). I don't think adding another unknown rookie to the mix would be the best way to approach any perceived problem at WR anyway.

I'm happy with Thompkins' development so far. He and Dobson look like they're going to be very productive receivers in the NFL. Suddenly the Pats' offense looks very good - Gronk and Amendola healthy, Dobson and Thompkins improving. And we're seeing the results - the offense is much better now than it was earlier in the year.

It doesn’t matter if it’s a need this year or not we cannot pass up drafting a Rutgers player.

using him exactly how he was used against carolina is perfect. with the focus largely on the other targets, he will always be good for a couple of long plays.
