Instead of going for Value i did this mock as for team needs!!
Round 1
1. Detroit Lions- Matthew Stafford QB Georgia
Every day that goes by its more likely that the Lions will once again take a QB with their first overall pick.
2. St. Louis Rams- Jason Smith OT Baylor
They cut Orlando Pace, now they need a replacement. They take the Best offensive tackle on the board. He will make an immediate impact.
3. Kansas City Chiefs- Aaron Curry LB Wake Forest
This is the safest pick in the draft. Curry is also the best LB in this draft class. He will help this team and will become better after learning from the best Mike Vrabel.
4. Seattle Seahawks- Eugene Monroe OT Virginia
Theres been a lot of talk about Seattle picking up a QB to take after when Hasselback leaves, but the biggest need is an offensive linemen. So they grab Eugene Monroe that will help keep Hasselback off his back!
5. Cleveland Browns- Brian Orakpo DE/OLB Texas
Cleveland is in desperate need of a Pass Rusher. Willie McGinest will most likely retire or sign with some other team. Orakpo will be their new OLB.
6. Cincinnati Bengals- B.J. Raji DT Boston College
Bengals need to fix their defensive line. They need a bigger DT that is a dominant run stopper. They grab Raji to plug up the holes in the middle.
7. Oakland Raiders- Michael Crabtree WR Texas Tech
Al Davis gets a hard on for fast receivers. He grabs Crabtree to strengthen the WR Depth and could make an immediate impact since Javon Walker is no help.
8. Jacksonville Jaguars- Andre Smith OT Alabama
Jaguars we a complete tune up of the offensive line. They dont give Garrad time and they cant open up holes for Jones-Drew they grab the best OT on the board.
9. Green Bay Packers- Aaron Maybin DE/OLB Penn State
Green Bay transitioning to the 3-4 Defense they need a big DT, but the most logical DT is off the board so they grab Aaron Maybin to help their pass rush.
10. San Francisco 49ers- Mark Sanchez QB USC
The Niners need alot of help at QB. Everyone questions their current QB's. Mark Sanchez will bring competition and could possibly be the starter early next season.
11. Buffalo Bills- Tyson Jackson DE LSU
Buffalo needs to bolster the D-line. They start with a Pass rusher since schrobel isnt getting any younger.
12. Denver Broncos- Rey Maualuga LB USC
The broncos have 2 options here. build a stronger defense or take the Shanahan route. McDaniels takes the high road and fixes their defense. Rey could play both inside and outside and is ideal for a 3-4 defense.
13. Washington Redskins- Everette Brown DE Florida State
Continuing to build the defensive line. They grab Brown that can help with Pass Rush after cutting Jason Taylor.
14. New Orleans Saints- Chris Wells RB Ohio State
New Orleans takes Wells to compliment Bush. Bush is the elusive back and Wells is a run down your throat type of guy. This is the best fit for Wells.
15. Houston Texans- Malcolm Jenkins CB/S Ohio State
The Texans biggest problem is their secondary. They start building with the best CB on the board.
16. San Diego Chargers- Michael Johnson DE Georgia Tech
Chargers need to upgrade their defensive line. They start by replacing Igor Olshansky.
17. New York Jest- Jeremy Maclin WR Missouri
Jest could grab a QB here, but after losing Coles to the Bengals. The Jest need to replace him. So they grab the next best WR on the board. Maclin can play outside and inside.
18. Denver Broncos- Josh Freeman QB Kansas State
Broncos may have Orton, but with the second of their first round picks they grab Freeman to develop to be their franchise QB of the future. If a QB isnt taken here then possibly another defensive player.
19. Tampa Bay Buccaneers- Peria Jerry DT Ole Miss
I originally had Josh Freeman here, but since the signing of Byron Leftwich i see no reason them grabbing a QB until the later rounds. The Bucs want to get bigger and younger at Defense. They start with a DT that can really get it done.
20. Detroit Lions- Eben Britton OT Arizona
They got their QB with the first pick and now they have their OT. Theres no point in getting a number 1 QB if you dont have a line that can protect him.
21. Philadelphia Eagles- Darrius Haywood-Bey WR Maryland
McNabb complains every year how he needs weapons. Reid finally answers his prayers and grabs a WR that can run a 4.3.
22. Minnesota Vikings- William Beatty OT UCONN
Vikings need to upgrade their offensive line. They take the next best Offensive tackle.
23. NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS- Brian Cushing LB, USC
I know many dont agree with this pick, but I like Cushing, he may be a bit slower than the other USC linebackers, BUT he is the hardest hitter out of all of them. Also, the Patriots need a Pass Rusher. Patriots Pass Rush was on vacation last year.
24. Atlanta Falcons- Evander Hood DT Missouri
Atlanta's Offensive is set but their Defensive line is very small so they use their first pick to grab Ziggy to upgrade.
25. Miami Dolphins- Percey Harvin WR Florida
Miami is in need of a deep threat receiver. Tedd Ginn Jr is overrated so i see the Dolphins grabbing the next best WR or they can go with a Pass Rusher to compliment Joey Porter.
26. Baltimore Ravens- Vontae Davis CB Illinois
Even with the signing of Foxworth and Rolle, The ravens need to add depth to their secondary.
27. Indianapolis Colts- Kenny Britt WR Rutgers
With the loss of Marvin Harrison, the Colts get Britt to fill in for Harrison.
28. Philadelphia Eagles- Knowshon Moreno RB Georgia
They grab their WR and now to help carry the load with Westbrook they grab Moreno to add depth and an additional weapon for McNabb.
29. New York Giants- Hakeem Nicks WR UNC
With the departure of Plaxico Burress. Eli needs another WR to throw to. They grab Nicks that would fit their system perfectly. There are rumors that Braylon Edwards might be traded to the giants.
30. Tennessee Titans- Fili Maola DT USC
After losing Albert Haynesworth to the Redskins they need to fill that void at DT.
31. Arizona Cardinals- Clay Matthews LB USC
After watching the superbowl this past season. There was one thing the Cards were lacking and that was pass rush. They fill that need with a great OLB.
32. Pittsburgh Steelers- Max Unger OC Oregon
The Steelers need a complete new Offensive line. Big Ben is always on his back. They start with the Center and takes the best one on the board.
Round 2
1. Detroit Lions- Darius Butler CB UCONN
After losing Leigh Bodden, the Lions revamp their secondary with a great aggressive CB.
2. NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS- James Laurinaitis LB Ohio State
The Patriots got their Pass Rusher, now they need to work on the inside. This is Bruschis last year of his contract so the Patriots grab the next best ILB. (This pick could also be traded for J. Peppers)
3. St. Louis Rams- Robert Ayers DE Tennessee
For some reason alot of people have a hard on for this guy and is projected to go in the first round. Not me, The Rams take Ayers to work on their defensive Line.
4. Cleveland Browns- Alphonso Smith CB Wake Forest
Cleveland needs secondary help so they take Smith that will add depth.
5. Seattle Seahawks- D.J. Moore CB Vanderbilt
Seattle follows the Browns and grab the next best CB on the board.
6. Cincinnati Bengals- Alex Mack C Cal
Cincinatti needs a complete tune up on the offensive line. They dont want Carson Palmer getting injured again.
7. Jacksonville Jaguars- Brian Robiskie WR Ohio State
Jacksonville needs to get some playmakers for Garrad to throw to.
8. Oakland Raiders- Duke Robinson OG Oklahoma
Raiders start to revamp their Oline to protect either Russel or Garcia, whoever wins the starting job.
9. Green Bay Packers- Ron Brace DT Boston College
Green Bay continues to work on their D-Line and grab the next best 3-4 NT in the draft.
10. Buffalo Bills- Brandon Pettigrew TE Oklahoma State
The Bills get their TE and at a steal.
11. San Francisco 49ers- Jamon Merideth OT South Carolina
Offensive Tackles are going fast. The niners take the best OT to protect their new QB.
12. Miami Dolphins- Sean Smith CB/S Utah
Miami needs to upgrade their secondary if they are going to compete with Moss and Owens.
13. New York Giants- Donald Brown RB UCONN
With Ward gone they need a RB to help carry the load with Jacobs. They grab a big power runner just as how the Giants like em.
14. Houston Texans- Patrick Chung S Oregon
houston continues to revamp their secondary. I feel the texans are the sleepers of this years season!
15. NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS- Larry English DE/OLB Northern Illionois
He can play with his hand on the ground or standing up. The Patriots add another Pass Rusher to their newly defensive arsenal!
16. Denver Broncos- Clint Simtin LB Virginia
The Broncos continue to create their new 3-4 defense. Clint could play outside and inside.
17. Chicago Bears- Louis Murphy WR Florida
Chicago has their Whiny QB and help their Oline with Pace. They grab a weapon for whiny baby!!
18. Cleveland Browns- William Moore, S Missouri
Browns take the next best safety and continue to revamp their secondary.
19. Dallas Cowboys- Louis Delmas S Western Michigan
Cowboys need serious help in the secondary. They grab a safety to keep their defense in check.
20. New York Jest- Jared Cook TE South Carolina
With the departure of Chris Baker the Jest take the next best TE in the draft.
21. Philadelphia Eagles- Eric Wood C/OG Louisville
Eagles gave McNabb his weapons now they work on protecting him and opening holes for westbrook and Moreno.
22. Minnesota Vikings- Patrick Turner WR USC
Turner, projected to go late in the 2nd round gets added to the vikings roster. Vikings need to add depth to their offense.
23. Atlanta Falcons- Cornelius Ingram TE Florida
Falcons add a TE to help spread the field for Ryan.
