Possibly the stupidest analogy I've ever read, and I visit this site every day... ;)

    No Jersey Selected

I always thought of Belichick as the Miles Davis of the Patriots myself.

    :)

Actually it fits, in a way. Going from Bebop, inventing West Coast Cool, then inventing Re-Bop (like Bebop, but more so), then introducing Modal Jazz, then being the best in Fusion Jazz.

    Well, actually it doesn't fit.:D

    #12 Jersey

If you want to make an analogy to the 60s,

Delete the comment about the running game, and I think you could say that Bill Belichick is the Red Auerbach of the NFL (referring back to Red's coaching days).

preparation, mental attitude, IQ, attack the opponent's weakness, be versatile, etc.

    :singing:
As a huge traditional jazz fanatic......it does fit,my man.

I would only add that BB is a Miles Davis/Sonny Stitt/John Coltrane Hybrid.

Scratch Coltrane. I doubt BB is a big fan of "Giant Steps" ;)

Since some of you are unlikely to look, here are a couple of interesting specifics from the article:

Since Joyner breaks down every down of every team as part of his analysis, his opinions are more interesting than most.
