Just when you we couldn't love TFB anymore.....

There are plenty of reasons to think that Brady is the greatest guy and player ever to play for the Pats, but this is a bean-counters' adjustment to how his money gets paid.

He goes and does this for the greater good of the team, seriously for everything he has done for the organisation up to this latest good will gesture he is by far and away the greatest in Pats history and i don't think he'll ever be surpassed.

He is the ultimate team player and for someone as good as him to have 0 ego, and just go out there and do business is phenomenal. Since the SB he hasn't once come out and complained about any aspect of that game or any personnel because he buys into the notion 'lose as a team' more than anyone else in NE.

Now we have all this extra cap space i think i'm salivating at the thought of what we can do with it.....

really ? All bow to TFB and his willingness to still get his 7+Mill even restructured like many other NFL players today do, or did he just announce that by restructuring he is now donating his entire 7+M restructured purse to feed the hungry in Somalia, kinda like Krafts donated 20million to attract local doctors ???

Krafts give $20m to draw doctors into community - The Boston Globe

Get your priorities straight

ummm....bonus >>>>> salary

How is freeing up $7.25m cap space anything else but good, the dude realises the TEAM is important and has done this so his TEAM has the best shot at winning the next SB

He didn't sacrifice ANYTHING except the time spent signing the contract.

And he got the equivalent of a valuable insurance policy in return, if not actual cash in his pocket (from receiving and hence being able to invest money sooner than he otherwise would have).

Surely a five-figure benefit to him in economic value; likely actually six-figure. Not exactly a great sacrifice.
