Nice little interview with/article on Matt Light in Projo:

Light says Patriots can use the time off to heal | New England Patriots | projo.com | The Providence Journal

The two-time Pro Bowler, who served as a team captain for the first time this season, said there might be a silver lining in the extra time off for the Pats, who had played deep into January or the first Sunday in February over the previous five seasons. The players have more time to get away and heal before the offseason program gets under way.

Working with Tuck, who terrorized the Patriots’ offensive line in New York’s Super Bowl XLII upset last year, wasn’t that difficult for Light.

“I would say that most guys — barring some defensive backs and wide receivers, because they like jawing at one another — most guys don’t take that stuff off the field,” he said. “We had fun; it was a good time.”

Asked if he’s trying to match friend and quarterback Tom Brady in the endorsement department, Light, known for his one-liners, said he’s “just one chubby white offensive lineman trying to make his way in the world.”

Re: matt light is shameless

The funny thing is he said he was aprehensive to do it until he heard about the leotard and who would be in it and thought it would be funny. Dude is such a goofball.

time for a replacement @ LT

Some guys angle for the broadcast booth; Light may well go straight to stand-up at the Kowloon. :D
