Just announced minutes ago that Brett Favre has decided to return to the Green Bay Packers in the next season..Probably thinks that the NFC is so lame even his young team has a chance..The guy won't leave :)

Just further proof that he is pro sports biggest media whore. As many suspected the whole crying act after the last game of 2006 was nothing more than an attention grab by a guy who was not retiring.

Maybe Lord Favre ought to have a conversation with Ted Johnson.

    Or Barbaro.

Put him and the Packers fans out of their misery and be done with it.

Didn't they use a high draft pick on Aaron Rogers a few years back? Does Rogers really need to be on the bench anymore?

If you're going to have another season like you did last year if you're the packers, why not give Rogers some more playing time? But will Farve be willing to sit on the bench? I doubt it.

Favre Favre and his ego could care less about the Green Bay Packers. He will be 1 year older and his talents will decline from this year. So Packer fans you are doomed to another year of mediocrity but you'll have your beloved Brett at quarterback. I'll bet the teams playing the Packers are overjoyed to get another shot at Mr Gunslinger, read interception thrower, Favre. Screw the team I'm playing quarterback. Stupidity has no limit.

what if Aaron Rodgers outplays him in training camp? will the coaching staff have the balls or even the authority to make St.Favre the backup QB?

I beleive the QB they picked up was Aaron Rodgers from Cal. I thought for sure this would be announced during halftime of the SB -:) He milks these decisions really well.

Favre is a child, starved for attention.

Last year, 3 or 4 days before the draft Brett announced his return.

This year, 2 or 3 days before the SuperBowl he announces his return.

Heaven forbit the nfl pays attention to something besides Lord Favre.
It is not a coincidence that he plans his huge return right before some of the biggest dates in the nfl.

He's a piece of trash and will do anything for attention.

AFter he didn't break the td record this year i would have bet everything i owned that he'd return for another year.

As long as Favre stays, the longer the Packers will suck.

That might be the only way to get rid of him.

ok, Favre likes the attention. He's a look-at-me kinda of person.

I think the league is going to have to kick him out before he retires. But if he enjoys playing football, all the more to him. No skin off my nose.

Aaron Rodgers hasn't looked like a world beater in camp with the Pack, and when he plays he plays ho-hum. Who else are they gonna start, Todd Bouman? Drew Bledsoe?

Favre isn't even the worst quarterback in that division. Boo Rex Grossman. Boo Brad Johnson.
