So the NY Times decides that Christina Hendricks is too fat. I guess any woman that weighs 110 pounds is too fat these days. And what do they do to prove their point? They distort a picture of her to make her look wider.

Then they insult everyone's intelligence by claiming it was an "inadvertant ... error during routine processing." Sure it was. I guess it is OK for liberal media outlets to distort beautiful women to make them look heavy.

I don't know about you, but what I am discussing is the complete lack of journalistic ethics and standards at the Old Gray Hag.

That's incredibly weak, even by your standards.

You could sack up and admit that your lame thread attempt blew up in your face in spectacular fashion... or you could resort to lame ad hominems (while simultaneously citing renowned sources such as the "Gothamist") in an attempt to divert attention away from the fact that you failed in hilarious and pathetic fashion.

Pro tip: Next time, use Google before you start a thread like this.

    I'm questioning your sanity...

In your world, The gossip section, and discussion of fashion....is on par with political news networks deliberatly distorting facial features of news reporters as on the same level?

and your defense is that the link provided is from a liberal site?

$#!t, kid!......The story is about pitures that FOX news posted, and did stories while using those photoshopped images.

Its okay to say "MY BAD, Boy was that a stupid post, what was I thinking?"

I was going to say that I thought Fox was criticized for something similar. What I will point out though, is that the NYT distortion was made to prove it's point. It was directly related to the articles content. So in that sense, it would be more egregious IMO. Still, photos should never be doctored. Even the SI one's that air brush impurities on some of the swimsuit models. Unless of course, they're air brushing facial hair on some hot babe. Yuck!

Those two articles aren't even the same. NYT was doctoring a photo to support the premise that a woman is fat. The Fox one seems to be satire directed at the reporters.

    Try again.

    "SEEMS"

    hahahahhahah!

    "Try again" is correct....

One is a NEWS network attempting to smear reporters by doctoring photos

The other is the Fashion/gossip section of a newspaper...which is EXACTLY where you'd expect to find this kind of 'reporting'...

You are comparing FOX news....and the Fashion section of the NYT????

Maybe that sthe perfect comparason, actually....

(Note, I didn't use the word "seems" when trying to make my point)

This thread got exactly the response I anticipated (and wanted). Seeing you scramble weakly on the defensive only proves it.

BTW, my original source was a little organization you may have heard of called ABCNews (link provided below). Their report is based on the pictures from Gothamist, a website I must confess I had never heard of. So I guess you should be criticizing ABCNews for using that site as a source too.

There is miles of difference between unflattering pictures versus actually doctoring them.

Are you just as pi$$ed at FOX for doctoring the faces of reporters from the NYT?

If so, I'm having a hard time finding it in this thread...or St. Elsewhere
