From the blog that shall not be named.

David Dunn, who represents free agent safety John Lynch, confirmed tonight that the Patriot’s and the 9-time Pro Bowler had agreed to terms.

Lynch was flying into town this evening, and was expected to be at practice tomorrow.

”John is as well-balanced a person as I’ve represented, and he’s made a balanced decision,” Dunn said of the deal, which according to a source, is for a year, at $1.5 million.

When asked on what made him decide on the Patriots - the Jets were also reported to be interested - Dunn remarked: ”It came down to a very simple desire to win another championship.”

Dunn said the 36-year-old Lynch ”could not be happier. He’s thrilled to be with this team, at this time in his career.”

Mods if you think that this should be merged with the other Lynch thread, please merge. I just thought that this might need it's own thread.

This seems like the "Veterans moving to the Pat's" Theme Song. And obviously he expects to contribute to winning said championship, not just take a free ride to the SB.

Picked us over the Jets, eh? :D

Did you read what Champ Bailey said? He said the Pats always find a role for older veterans. When we sign guys like Junior Seau and he not only has a role but is effective in that role, other veteran players around the league see that. They know how much BB loves veterans. We fans might not agree with it at times, but BB has a soft spot for veteran players.

Here's hoping somehow that Junior gets his championship this year.......
