Re: OT: jim rome is a tool

I could've told you he was a tool before seeing that. Now i'm kinda pi**ed off after watching it. Thanks for that :(

Can't we just bomb all media outlets? mainly fespn :D

Re: OT: Jim Rome is a tool

Unfortunately most of what he said was 100% true.
You may not like the way he delivered it BUT

in the SB

1. BB was outcoached by Coughlin in amajor way
2. He made some huge coaching mistakes and he did not look like a "genius"
3. He did walk off the field early...not a class move
4. The defense came up small at the critical time

Really? None of that had been discussed here ad nauseum....

Re: OT: Jim Rome is a tool

I actually like Rome, he's one the the main line media types who actually tells it like it is. I don't agree with him all the time, but more often than most national honks

Re: OT: Jim Rome is a tool

Who was it that went for him on air? Or am I thinking of someone else...

as much as i agree that jim rome is a tool, he was right. BB got outcoached that game, no question.

Re: OT: Jim Rome is a tool

Jim Everett, after Rome kept calling him "Chris." Of course, it's on Youtube. :)

Gotta admit though, that most 'talking heads' would just crumble in that situation whereas Rome kept on doing what he'd been doing.

BUT, Jim Rome is still a major tool. No?

Re: OT: Jim Rome is a tool

Those statements were made over 8 months ago. Why are you so upset now?

BTW, except for the stuff about taping walking-throughs, nothing he said was inaccurate, esp. about the NEP not matching the intensity of the NYG. It seems as if we have rarely matched the opponents' intensity ever since RAC & Charlie departed. With the exception of Dante, Pepper & Ivan Fears, the rest of our coaches - incl. the OC & DC - would be hard-pressed to match the intensity of the characters found on Sesame Street. My sister's Father-In-Law once described the HC, OC & DC as "book-keepers."

And does anyone else miss the helmet-butting, high-fiving, dixie cup-throwing Tom Brady? I hope some of that emotion returns to him next year. Otherwise...
