What a pathetic bunch of self absorbed whiners. Throw the OC under the bus because the team Tanny and Rex built can't run the ball worth a damn behind a patchwork sub par OL and Captain Deer in the Headlights can't read a defense worth a damn and keeps turning the ball over...

Let's not get ahead of ourselves. This is going to be a tough game. Don't be surprised to see a resurgent Jets offense.

They must of heard about the return of the "Ground and pound..." and said "WTF?"

Burress, Holmes and Keller are all poor matchups for the Patriots, thankfully Sanchez is pulling the trigger. There is not logical explaination why any team wouldn't have a passing attach as option #1 against the Patriots.

It all comes down to Sanchez, if he plays acceptable or better it puts the Jets in a good spot to keep things close. If not, Patriots in a landslide.

That's exactly what you SHOULD expect from guys like Holmes and Burress. Its always going to be about THEM. Rex made Holmes a captain, and unlike here, he lets them all have their say. You reap what you sow.

You have to give Rex credit for being true to his nature. Its a great part of his success. And it will be the main reason for his failure VERY soon. His style works well when things are going well. If they win today and on into the season, this outburst by the WRs will mean nothing. Just the Jets being the Jets. HOWEVER, if they lose, and continue to lose down the road, then Rex's "good old boy" personna will start to unravel rapidly.

Don't make any mistakes the Jets are a talented but flawed team. They remind me a bit of the Pats teams of the late 90's Talented at the top of the roster, but weak at the bottom. The Jets are just a few injuries away from failing just as those Pats teams did, and if they do, it will be interesting to see how Rex personality does in an adverse situation. Especially in NY, were the rabid press just LOVE to tear down the icons that they themselves have created

Unfortunately that's not today. Today they are a dangerous, and desperate team. And if the Pats are the team WE hope they are, they will take this opportunity to physically beat up the Jets and start the downward spiral and the media "darling" will soon become the media "target"

Now that Holmes has gotten his huge contract, he is reverting to the WR that the Steelers unloaded for a fifth round pick. For Holmes, there is not team in I. Two weeks in a row, he has publicly thrown either a coach or his teammates under the bus. Now he is sandbagging Schottenheimer behind the scenes.

The funny thing is he has blasted the playcalling multiple times and pointed out flaws of his o-line and QB this week publicly, but he has never said anything about him needing to pick up his own game. Typical locker room cancer.

Wouldn't they first have had to have been surgent to be resurgent?

BTW, the title of this thread is wrong. They think Schottenheimer sucks, not Sanchez.

Holmes already threw Sanchez under the bus after the Ravens game. But this incident is about Schotty.

LOL, I thought you gave up the prediction business? I remember you sucking at it quite well.

Pats fans must love the controversy hungry NY media, they will throw dirt at a moments notice.

The article is being overplayed, but so be it. I'm one of the fans that think the Jets OC is taking too much of a hit for the struggles the Jets have had with their OL, and the WR's are just doing what most WR's do. The Pats aren't too far removed from this notion with Randy Moss. And Ocho is nothing close to the player he probably should be now that he has to keep his mouth shut.

Predicting Rex will fail is a huge reach on your part. The Jets could very well regress this year from a performance standpoint, that won't change anything for the future, they have a very talented and young team, the core is young, teams don't normally go to the AFC Championship every year, every year there is a multitude of reasons why a team regresses and then bounces back, it isn't like the Pats win a playoff game every year.

Not sure where Pats fans have this notion that the Jets lack depth, it's rather ignorant.

You won't find many teams that have the talent and depth the Jets have at CB. They have a nice stable of RB's and youth, OL is actually very deep, but they've had injuries. WR group has a nice mix of veterans and youth, and their top 3 is pretty damn good. DL is young with a lot of talent, now and for the future. LB unit is pretty damn good, even with Bryan Thomas' loss, will be interesting to see if Aaron Maybin, former #9 overall pick two years ago can use this as opportunity to bounce back and take advantage of his opportunity.

There is no way in hell the Pats physically beat up any team, they aren't a physical team. That is what YOU and every other Pat fan needs to be worried about from the Jets, the Jets are built and are a physical team.

They are a dangerous team, but it isn't like the Jets are the only team with holes in it, the Pats are loaded with their own holes, and have played a cupcake schedule so far, which is really scary when you consider how awful the Pats D has been.

That said, the Jets certainly have their own issues, and today is a big game for them, most of their issues are correctable, and much of that can be corrected just with the return of Mangold at C on the OL.

    Should be a great game.

The Jets are 16th ranked offensive team in the league.

The Patriots are DEAD last on defense.

You mean that NY media that pimps your team 95% of the time?

So your answer to the Jets WRs whining is that you make up that Moss did (never, ever happened. his only comments ever were about $) and you think Ocho would even though he isn't?
Other teams players are not divisive like the Jets. Deal with it, thats the team you have willingly assembled.

Huh? You have 2 players on offense that are good and young, and 2 on defense.

Rhetorical BS. Your team is declining. Winning some playoff games after sneaking in with a 6th seed isn't a lumbering dynastic juggernaut. You got those by selling out the future, and its coming home to roost now.

Actually its dead on. Look at your OL. Are you really going to tell me there is depth there? WR? no RB? no QB? no
Defensively you had to go get Aaron Maybin who the Bills cut then you cut, because you have no depth and now Thomas is out. There is zero depth at DL, OLB, ILB and the secondary depth is nothing to get excited about.
Your team doesnt just lack depth, it lacks depth at virtually every position.

It had to be hard to type that. Your #3 corner is a bust. Your top 2 RBs are medicore and their is nothing behind them, and your OL fell apart with 1 injury. I think its very fair to say the Jets have the worst backup OL in the NFL.

You are kidding right? In 4 weeks that have been the top 4 passing weeks in NFL history your starting WRs have 13 and 10 catches, ranking them 79th and 107th in the NFL.
Wes Welker has 14% more receptions that YOUR TOP 3 WRS COMBINED. That is not pretty damn good, it is pathetic.

    Where?

Signing bust Maybin off the street cutting him then bringing him back is testament to your lack of depth. You may not have a true NFL caliber player (other than special teams grade) at LB other than Scott, Pace and Harris. And thats not even close to an exaggeration.

Wrong again. How have the Jets done in the phyiscal part of the game this year, running and stopping the run?

Pats and Jets have played a similar schedule
    Oakland Oakland
    SD Baltimore
    Buffalo Dallas
    Miami Jax

Those teams are going to end up with about the same records as each other.
Difference is we win 75% of our games you win 50%.
I'm fine if we get to the end of the season and you whine that we were 12 and 4 vs cupcakes and you were 8 and 8 vs a brutal schedule.
But by then you'll be blaming it all on injuries.

Could be, if its not a great game we all know which direction it will go.

You can't be serious? The NY media? LOL, no, this isn't even close.

I don't agree with the Jets WR's talking, if that is the case, but it's rather customary for WR's to be talking, it's what they do, the Moss reference just supports this notion, and I find it funny that since Pats fans had no problems with Moss, they are knocking the Jets WR's.

2 on offense and defense, huh? LOL, oh, ok.

Nice spin, you Pats fans can sure the hell spin their way out of an argument.

The struggles this year have NOTHING to do with a "declining" football team. The Pats are a hell of a lot closer to declining due to the age of their most important players than the Jets are.

It's not dead on, it's not even close. The core of our OL is 27 years old, Mason is a one year solution at WR until Kerley is ready. Burress is a 1-2 year replacement for Edwards, Holmes was just given his contract and is 27. Jets have two young RB's they like in McKnight and Powell, both draft picks, both who showed some promise in the pre-season. The Maybin pick-up was actually in training camp, and it was to help address their pass rush, who the hell cares when he was picked-up. How many players did the Pats pick up at the end of camp and during the season? Does that mean the Pats lack depth?

Our #3 corner is a bust? Based on what? Wilson has sure as hell looked a lot better than McCourty has this year and that impressive #32 ranked NFL defense.

The luxury of having a Tom Brady leading the offense, and a healthy OL.

Again, who the hell cares how he is on the roster, half of the Patriot secondary was brought off the street, including your starting RG. So much for that Patriot depth, huh? Does it work both ways?

They've sucked because of injuries on their OL, already covered, that doesn't change the fact they are a physical football team.

LOL, Dallas > Buffalo, I don't care what their record is right now, that will balance itself out. Baltimore >>>> Chargers Jax >> Miami

It hasn't been the same schedule. Jets also had to play Baltimore in Baltimore, while the Pats got the Chargers at home.
