I'd like to go on record saying he will fail as a starting QB.
Geno has a great arm. He makes some really nice throws. He showed that many times over at WVU. He also showed weak mental focus. Almost every time he had to go against a decent defense, he let it get to him, early. He loves to try to force the ball into spaces filled with DBs and then sulk as if the resulting INT wasn't his fault.
Tavon Austin and Stedman Bailey had a lot to do with his huge numbers too. The Jets don't have those sort of weapons for him.
Sanchez was only the beginning of the Jet's recent run of terrible football. Now we get to the good stuff.

KSU B slapped Geno when they played last season and Bill Snyder (KSU HC) is good enough to coach in the NFL if he so desired. Assuming he wins the starting job, its about to get real for Geno when he has to face Bill Synder type coaching virtually ever week.
from butt fumbler to prima donna fumbler. the jets won't skip a beat! LOL
If you think Bill Snyder owned Geno. Wait till you see what BB does to him! LOL.
If he reckons he should have been the no.1 pick then he is not going to be happy with his contract. I'm looking forward to him holding out for a long time and then failing miserably when he finally signs and gets his first start.
Lets be honest Bill hasn't owned many if any QB's lately.
Last year, the Pats absolutely abused a couple of QBs with their defensive schemes. Straight-up fooled them, and baited them into game-changing mistakes.
If they were able to do that without a lot of talent coming off the edge or in the secondary, then I'm cautiously optimistic to see what they can do now, with McCourty firmly entrenched at safety and Talib, Dennard, Jones, Hightower, and Wilson all having a full year in this defense.
How will they find a helmet big enough?
His salary is slotted under the last CBA, so he wouldn't be able to accomplish anything by holding out.
