the pats defense is faster than the jets.......and bruschi and vrabel are now the only starters older than the jets starter for that position

they're the ones talking now.........their whole world will be in disarray

A win, even a squeaker, will almost wash away SB42, at least for a week.

Seriously, the pollution in NY is having a catastrophic effect on brain cells.

I think someone needs to remind the Rats about their beloved QB...

how great Jets think of our 'great' QB! What a statement!

We will see if it's true or not tonight.

It's like everyone down there is taking stupid pills. How the hell is the source keeping anonymity going to prevent this from being used as bulletin board material?

Ironic that the Jets player spoke only under the condition of anonymity because he didn't want to provide bulletin board material, then spoke - and provided bulletin board material. All the anonymity did was convey a lack of confidence.

Gee, imagine what the defense could do if it wasn't old and slow.

Seems like the Jets are putting a whole lot of pressure on themselves. I can foresee that leading to mistakes such as dumb penalties, and playing too tight. The more I read the quotes from the Jets players, the better I feel about the Patriot's chances. The Pats seem to really be in their head, and I'm not sure the Jets will react well the first time something in this game doesn't go their way.

I think the only starters on the Pats defense over 30 now are Bruschi and Vrabel. So the idea that the Pats defense is old and slow, is just an image/projection that doesn't fit the current team at all. Whoever fills in for Adalius Thomas is going to have huge shoes to fill though.

So this player didn't want to give his name? Why not? Who cares if the Patriots have bulletin board material? The Patriots didn't care about smack talking Freddy Mitchell. The only time you refuse to give your name is when you are afraid about having to back up your talk. The Jets are obviously scared of failure.

Dennis and Callahan talked about it with Adam Schefter. Schefter blasted the Jets player for saying something so stupid.

This game is not only big for the Jets, but more importantly big for Eric Mangini. In fact, his coaching seat will be on fire if they lose to the Pats without Brady, Thomas, Harrison, Maroney, Morris, Jordan etc. for the second time this season. If the Jets don't win the divison and don't make playoffs, Mangini is toast. There is no other team I like to see the Pats beat more than the Jets since that "Spy Gate" crap.

I like your analysis, spot on. It does seem the Jets are cauing themselves an unnecessary amount of pressure.

Pats avs age on D, starters: 27.6 (This is including Woods in place for Thomas and Deltha O'Neal in Wheatley's place).

two things, since when did the Jets start 12 guys? You just included nickels to make it comparable. Next add dave harris and subtract David bowens and I want you to do the same for the pats, give me their healthy starting D w/ Adalius Thomas and Rodney Harrison. Whats the average ages then?

I think with Guyton playing more now versus week 2 this will be an added advantage protecting the middle fo the field with mayo. plus we have merriweather in coverage.

o'neal and woods are my two worries. i am confident in the other guys.

this whole age thing is foolish. rondey IS out. AD IS out. teams DO NOT stay in base defense all game. we probably see as much nickle in 3rd down situations.

    who cares about age.

Why do these clowns insist on writing checks with their mouths that their butts can't cash?

Surgically repaired today... and he is NOT on the season ending IR list - meaning that, as with Mike Vrabel's broken arm a few seasons ago, you might not have seen the last of Thomas this season.
