When I go to to other teams stadiums I act respectful because I know it can get hostile. Boston is no exception. Try going to a Red Sox game in a yankee hat as a black man.

I can try the hat but the black part may be a little tough.

In all seriousness though, I have been to many pats games and I've never seen anything like that after a game. There is so much security that nothing like that fight could ever take place. I wouldn't go to that stadium as that type of behavior just breeds further bad behavior.

I hadn't seen the short (like 9 second) video at the end of that article before. The woman had turned her head when this guy wound up to punch her.

The guy did three years in prison for killing someone with a knife. His daddy supposedly was in a position of influence to get the charges reduced. He also has other arrests on his record. For crap sakes, he's 39 years old! He is a SCUM BAG! I've never been to Gillette but I've been to a Yankee Sox games twice and both times I've been called the N word numerous times in what is widely regarded as the most racist city in the north.

But at least I know better than you that you can't generalize an entire fanbase or city based on the actions of a few. 80K people something is bound to happen.

in this day and age, sayings like never hit a woman almost seem like anachronistic chauvinism. World is full of powerful and admirable women who do not need the protection of men. Similarly there's also terrible women who don't deserve special treatment on account of their gender.

There are men serving prison sentences for crimes against women but there's also many cases of the converse.

That guy's definitely a dirtbag for hitting her, and I'm 100% of the belief that a man should never hit a woman. That said, I don't really feel much sympathy for her at all. The easiest way to make sure you don't get punched is to not start a fight in the first place. Looked to me like she was looking for a fight but assumed that she could take swings without any consequence.

The man who did the punching is named Kurt Paschke, Fox 5 News reported.

His mother, Colleen Paschke, told Fox 5's Adrienne Supino that the video has been misinterpreted and that her son was attacked by Patriots fans.

"Yes a guy should not hit a girl or a woman," Colleen Paschke said, "but if you are going to get a maniac girl how much abuse are you supposed to take before you defend yourself?"

She did admit that Kurt, 38, has a criminal record. In 1992, he was convicted of criminally negligent homicide in the stabbing death of a Long Island teenager.

"He's very mild-mannered, he does have a past from when he was 17 so he knows that when there is an altercation that you move on, you don't put yourself in that position," she said. "He was concerned for me and for himself also just to keep going and not make something out of it. But they thought otherwise. They we're the aggressors."
