Jets Cut Brett Favre; should the Patriots go after him?

Passer Rating is a pretty terrible statistic, but yeah, I'll play.

Code:
First 11 Games Last 5 Games
2008: 20TD,13INT,70% Cmp 2TD, 9 INT, 59%
2007: 22TD,8INT,68% Cmp 6TD, 7INT, 59%
2006: 14TD,10INT,57% Cmp 4TD, 8 INT, 54%
2005: 19TD,19INT, 63% Cmp 1TD, 10 INT, 55%

I don't know how to call that anything other than "Pretty friggen drastic"

Because I'm not cherry picking numbers in an attempt to make a bad argument seem better than it is, unlike others here. That's how.

My argument was:

"The fact that the last couple of years, this has been a pattern from Favre: Playing well at the beginning of the year, and then a severe drop off."

I think my numbers clearly show that.

Clearly, they don't, as my non-cherry picked numbers show.

Clearly, they don't.

Could you please show how Favre has not dropped off?

Despite the fact that for the last 4 years, his INT rate has doubled at the end of the season, his completion percentage has dropped 10%, and his touchdown rate has dropped drastically.

Despite the fact that for the last 4 years, his INT rate has doubled at the end of the season, his completion percentage has dropped 10%, and his touchdown rate has dropped drastically.

I already did.

I already did.

You've completely ignored this chart:
Code:
First 11 Games Last 5 Games
2008: 20TD,13INT,70% Cmp 2TD, 9 INT, 59%
2007: 22TD,8INT,68% Cmp 6TD, 7INT, 59%
2006: 14TD,10INT,57% Cmp 4TD, 8 INT, 54%
2005: 19TD,19INT, 63% Cmp 1TD, 10 INT, 55%

Do you deny that Brett Favre's Completion percentage has consistenly gone down at the end of the season?

Do you deny that Brett Favre throws more Interceptions at the end of the season?

Do you deny that Brett Favre throws less touchdowns at the end of the season?

Brett Favre QB rating for the last 4 years(What you're trying to use to prove he doesn't decline)

Code:
First 11 games Last 5 games
2008 93.9 55.2
2007 102.2 77.4
2006 76.7 63.6
2005 81.5 54.6

Got any more stats you want to throw out?

You mean, QB rating for 8 games, when we're talking about multi year trends?

I mean that in 2007, your argument falls apart. But you feel free to keep posting the same nonsense over and over again. Last season, the Jets went from 4 wins to 9 wins, were in the playoff hunt in the last week of the season, and had an 8-3 start before Favre got hurt. Conveniently, you then choose that spot to start playing your games with the data.

Hey, guess what happened in that same week in 2007? Oh, yeah.... Favre got hurt against the Cowboys. The difference was that he overcame the injury and was able to lead his team to the playoffs.

But we'll just ignore that. Red Sox '78!

Brett Favre QB rating for 2007 (What you're trying to use to prove he doesn't decline)

Code:
First 11 games Last 5 games
102.2 77.4

And more cherry picking, by covering up the argument and relying on bad games to pull down the good ones. I laid out every game already.

You're just being ridiculous now, and this is not worth my effort. I'm done dealing with you on this, so you have a nice night.

QB rating

Code:
First 11 games Last 5 games
2008 93.9 55.2
2007 102.2 77.4
2006 76.7 63.6
2005 81.5 54.6

I missed the point where Cherry Picking was redifined to "Does not agree with Dues's false argument"

They already did go after him.
See....:)

Edit: All right the GIF doesn't work but you guys know what happens next.

Well, Dues Irae has put me on ignore, or so he says, because I clearly don't understand how Brett Favre hasn't declined at the end of seasons.

Any one else care to give me an explanation of how I'm misinterpreting Brett Favre's stats, because he wont, and I'd really like to know what i'm missing.

yeah, I think that was the point of this satirical thread.

at least originally.....

How many TDs did Favre throw last year?
How many TDs did Brady throw last year?

Simple math leads you to the correct answer for the topic's question.

Yet somehow we are actually debating if Favre would be a good addition to this team.
