Jesus Christ the Left Wings Two Most Hated People hitting the news during the same week, poor Mush Mouth Matthews....

    Todays News
Former President George W. Bush, outlining plans for a new public policy institute, on Thursday said America must fight the temptation to allow the federal government to take control of the private sector, declaring that too much government intervention will squelch economic recovery and expansion.

With the Obama administration establishing far-reaching controls in the auto, real estate and financial sectors, Mr. Bush said that "the role of government is not to create wealth, but to create the conditions that allow entrepreneurs and innovators to thrive."

Only the most indoctrinated sycophant lends W any credence on issues of the economy. Of course his goal here is to further privatization and the transfer of wealth from the people's government to the private sector where it will be hoarded.

As opposed to the economically illiterate BO who said that without his stimulus plan unemployment could get as high as 8.8%, now with his plan unemployment is 10.2% and rising with no end in sight.

Um, stimulus during recessions is part of the mainstream of economic thinking. Further, if you want to look at somebody to blame for unemployment, look at CEOs, offshoring, NAFTA, and corporate consolidation.

Actually tax cuts and making it easier for businesses to hire and consumers to have more income is what will stimulate the economy, not lining the pockets of your political supporters with borrowed tax dollars that are taken from the capital pool for private investment.

CEO's can't hire when there are no customers. They have to lay off workers. Also more job growth occurs among start up business not the Fortune 1,000. There is no investment capital available when the government is running 2T deficits.

BTW the prospect of the Obama/Pelosi care and the insane cap and trade will lead to job losses and less hiring.

Here is a good article using sound economic thought about how Pelosi/Obama care is a job killer for the lower middle calss.:

There is a direct correlation between lowering corporate taxes and stagnating wages over the last 30 years. Corporations already pay far less than than their fair share in taxes.

That's why you need good jobs in the US, not overseas. Did you miss the part about offshoring and NAFTA/free trade?

Government deficit != private capital which drives many startups. Further, the government investment capital that is being spent is being spent on green energy startups. So I have no idea what your point is there.

Um, expanded health care will create, wait for it ... MORE HEALTH CARE CUSTOMERS. Sigh.

Um, that's a libertarian think tank. Of course they are going to oppose meaningful health care reform. Sigh.
