    The other day a writer for ESPN page 2 wrote a column where she equated rooting for the celtics with rooting for hitler. Today she printed her apology, and even though it's mentioned over in the Celtics talk forum, I thought there were some parts in it that were pretty good considering things we've been talking about here for the past ....well, forever.

    ESPN's credibility is really "circling the drain" at this point.

    Good for her for coming clean, but still..........

    Oh.................. I love this part;

    Followed immediately by about 100 lines of.............. disguised rationalizations :singing:

    Actually I thought this line was really good:
    It shows (IMO) how we're all fallible.

    For sure................. but it is still a rationalization. It's not on the Tomasse level, but it still it. Perhaps this is old school, but I've always been taught that, when you are wrong, and want to offer and apology, just do it....... and stop. It means more.

    Still, that's splitting hairs though. She sure seems to have gotten the message and comes off as genuine. I still think ESPN is in the toilet.

    RW, you are pretty much right on, but you have to admit, it's way to easy these day's to throw out the "like Hitler" analogy and it's a little stupid to whip it out in the context she did.
