Re: Jarvis Green signed by Broncos

Addition by subtraction.

Re: Jarvis Green signed by Broncos

I do not understand the whole backup comments here. He was our starting RDE now and when seymour was injured a few years back.
So he is good enough to be patriots starting RDE but not bronco`s RDE???.

Good for green a good player and i think dummerville is going to help him a bit as dummerville is going get some attention and green will get inside a bit more.

1.) He's older

2.) He wasn't good enough to be New England's starting DE

Re: Jarvis Green signed by Broncos

I like Green, but he was definitely on the decline and not all that good anymore. He definitely can help the Broncos more than the Pats since he can bring veteran leadership and a knowledge of the system.

Re: Jarvis Green signed by Broncos

Sad to see him go. Another ring walks out the door.

Best memory would have to be that colts game.

He filled a very key role for us thru the years as a pass rusher and backing up the whole Dline.

It will be very interesting to see what kind of role he takes on in Denver.

Denver has always been my most hated team but if they keep adding guys like Jarvis it will be tough not to route for them still not there yet.

Re: Jarvis Green signed by Broncos

Don't forget Patriots south, otherwise known as the Kansas City Patriots

Yea fixed it, thanks. Out of curiosity, has Dimitroff plundered even one of our players yet?

He wasn't good enough to start in 2009, and Seymour took the job back immediately when he returned in 2007 (despite being well below 100%). I like Green, and I'm happy for him and wish him well. The Broncos need him, he's by all accounts a great guy, and he deserves the payday, if indeed he got one. As a Pats fan, though, I'm not exactly sad to see him go; I haven't been a fan of his play on the field in quite a while.

Re: Jarvis Green signed by Broncos

Don't they already have a guy on their roster named Jarvis Moss?...I guess that means Randy will be headed to Denver next year lol.

Re: Jarvis Green signed by Broncos

look at it this way......the pats just traded him to denver for a 2011 5th round pick

Was thinking the same thing...

Green was only good as a starter in short bursts. We all know what kind of pressure he brought.

Fact is that he hadn't really produced in the last 2 years here.

IMO Denver overpaid. Good for JG.

Re: Jarvis green a Bronco

I just heard it on Sirius. I hope it works out for Jarvis in Denver.....

He had some good years here. I always liked him. Good luck, JG

Re: Jarvis green a Bronco

Had dinner with him this past winter. Nice dude. Solid Patriot while he was here. Wish him the best with the donkies.

Re: Jarvis green a Bronco

Best for both sides to move on at this point. A little sad to see him go, as he was a key part of 2 Super Bowl teams, including wreaking havoc on Peyton Manning in 2003 in the AFCCG.

Re: Jarvis green a Bronco

Thanks Jarvis! You were nasty!

good luck in D-town, where I'll unfortunately have to hate you.

sorry.

Re: Jarvis green a Bronco

My guess is that he was probably hoping for an offer from the Saints. Enjoy a year or two in Denver before you head back to LA.

Good luck Jarvis!

A solid Patriot performer whose productivity was on the decline. Best of luck to Jarvis at Denver.

Now it remains to be seen who starts on the line next to Warren & Wilfork.

Good luck Jarvis, say hi to Phillip Rivers for me - several times, he's hard of hearing.

Homerism abound.

If we sign a player we got value if some else does they over paid.:D

already people know how denver is going to use him and how effective he will be lol.

His performances were on the steady decline at New England. A change of scenery may just be the tonic for Green to get back to his best.
