Some people on this board are bitter and spiteful, and in turn bites the hand that feeds them their freedom.

Uh huh. My point was more along the lines of "so troops have been in Japan for 60 plus years, yet people like NEM complain that we've still got troops in Iraq?"

You wanna see protests, let's remove these bases, and see what happens to these communities.

Nobody commits more crimes than UN delegates in NYC (and I'm not talking about their parking tickets).

Don't let those two grinning double talking politicians (bama & hillary) sh!t you, the troops will be in Iraq for a long long time no matter who the president is, a politician will tell you anything to make themselves look good, they are the Vermin of the earth.

Mccain is a "closet democrat" but at least he told it like it is on Iraq, he said "we would be there for 100 years".

What do you think will happen?

Why do you make a comparison to the leasing / occupation of Okinawa and tickets at the UN?

Unless you're trying to put words in his mouth?

What conquered country has come out better than Japan? The United States took only a few small parcels of land, to garrison our troops, who are no longer there to govern Japan, as we gave them a more effective and better leader than the one we were left with (you know the man who fired him). The United States gave Japan back its soverinty. Due to the restrictions of the Japanese surrender, they are prohibited from having a standing Army, so the US provides Japan with military protection.

BTW, what do you think those peace loving Chinese would do to an unarmed Japan, if the US military were to leave?

I was thinking of that, too.

So FTW, would the Chinese be justified taking out Japan.... historically speaking? Keep in mind how old their civilization is.

So should african-americans go back and attack Africa for the slavery that was inflicted upon their ancestors? We can play this game all day long.

Did the Japanese brutally mistreat both the Chinese and the Koreans, absolutely, but for TODAY, Japan is an ally of the US, and one of our major trading partners, so keeping them safe from Chinese attack, would seem to be in the US's best interest.
