He won't be available and we would of course draft him if he were there.

    #24 Jersey

The Chiefs have all but said we will draft Jake Long.

Herm Edwards basically said on NFL Network we need offensive line help at the end.

Was actually kind of stupid but we are talking about Herm.

J Long and McFadden are the only two guys in this draft that I see that can come in and start from day one. He would be a huge upgrade over Kazcur.
Maybe the Chiefs can solve their OL problems via FA.

What about Ryan Clady from Boise St. The more I think about the draft, I'm starting to beleive that the Pats will have no suitors for that #1 draft pick (unless they trade it staight up for a proven player already). I have seen a coupe of mock drafts that have us picking Clady and there reasoning is starting to make me think that it is more than just a possibility. We would have to agree that he would be an immediate upgrade at RT.

Depends if Matt Ryan slips. Plus who knows what happens at the combine? It's still early.

And how about Cherilius? I've heard that he is a natural RT.

Chad Rinehart, University of Northern Iowa, 6'5", 308, is a guy that I would like to see the Patriots take a look at with a third round pick.

Clady is certainly on my short list.

I would pass on him for one reason...too many can't miss OL in the top 10 that have not panned out in the pro's.
    We need defense more anyway.

I would take either Long (Jake or Chris) if they are there at #7.

I have a feeling they will both be gone and we will be fielding calls from
teams wanting to move up to draft Matt Ryan at #7.

Bears GM Jerry Angelo was spotted at several BC games this season.

If Ryan is available at #7, you have to think that Chicago needs to get in front of Baltimore to get to Ryan first.

Which raises an interesting point: let's say Ryan is still available at #6. At that point, in theory Baltimore could try to trade up with the JEST, to avoid the possibility of Chicago taking him at #7. But then that puts the JEST in an interesting spot: do they stay where they are, and try to screw the Pats, or do they take the trade, and risk getting screwed by the Pats? :)

To be honest, I don't think the question is whether or not the Pats will get offers for the pick--I am certain they will. The question will be if they find an offer they like.

Unless the Jets want Gholston, then they stay put so that he doesn't drop to the Pats. But it's entirely a guess if they or BB want him.

Chris Williams could start from Day 1 at LT in the NFL. He gave up one sack and one pressure facing the best the SEC has to offer this year. Two sacks in two years. He's been starting full time at LT for three seasons at college and split time during his freshman year between guard and tackle.

I wouldn't be opposed to moving down to 13-15, picking up an extra pick and selecting Williams. I'd like to consider moving Light over to RT next year, and Kazcur into RG.

I'm really beginning to become obsessed with getting a LT this year in the first though. Jake Long, Ryan Clady or Chris Williams would be very appeasing to me.

I got the impression, prior to the Pats drafting Mankins, that they liked getting their O-line late in the draft and through free agency. I don't know why Mankins was the exception, but I would venture to assume there won't be another exception this year.

Jake Long is a beast by his size alone, but I don't like what I have seen from him. I believe he needs a ton of coaching in order to deal with rushing ends. In college, I think he could rest on his massive size and strength. Long looks like the next Robert Gallery if you ask me. Let KC have him.
