The most epic reply ever

Well done

if he's more productive than either lloyd or welker then some things will have gone wrong

obviously i meant welker would be #1, but if gaffney comes back his production will eclipse Ocho's, stallworths' gonzalez's, branch's and probably lloyd's

Jabar Gaffney released by Skins......

Time to cut Ocho....and sign Gaff??????

Re: Jabar Gaffney released by Skins......

It's been years since he played here so I'll ask, does the Hut still have Princess Lea on that chain?

Here he comes:

Just got this text from WR Jabar Gaffney: "I'm going to the Patriots." Gaffney told me he is planning on signing a deal soon.

The Hut is coming to the ship!!!

Brady was upset both times that we failed to resign him, Brady obviously thinks he can still play and has wanted him back for quite some time. I'll take Brady's opinion over forum posters. Truthfully though, only time will tell. The more people Brady trusts on offense the better it is for all of us.

eh I'm not really sure we need him. I don't think he does any thing that Branch can't. I also don't want Brady to rely too much on one of his old guys at the expense of building a rapport with Lloyd.

I'd rather have Stallworth at this point, personally.

OMG! An off-season where BB is just giving everything us fans want. LLoyd, Welker, Gaffney, Gronk, Hernandez. The NFL has no idea what is coming next year from Brady and this O.

He supposedly just signed a 2 year deal.

LaCanfora is confirming it. Maybe we can trade Ebert for a 2013 fifth?

Stallworth and Gonzalez will be gone

This is how I feel about it. I also think one of Edelman/Ebert won't make it, depending on how Ebert performs in preseason.

PJ must be furious that it took this long. :D

Are you ******* serious?

I will never understand the logic in these posts. A 7th round draft choice who has never played a snap in the NFL is now worth a 5th next year?

Please tell me you were being facetious and it was lost on me in your post. Please say so.

I'm a Gaffney fan, and I'll be surprised and more than a little disappointed if he outproduces Lloyd.

He is faster and (much) taller than Branch, and he can actually beat single coverage with consistency. He's a significant upgrade over Branch.

Well there is certainly a logjam at veteran receiver this year.

Roster includes:

Welker (presumably)
Lloyd
Branch
Gaffney
Stallworth
Ochocinco/Johnson
Slater
Edelman
Gonzalez
Underwood
Ebert

Max of six.
Welker, Lloyd, and Slater seem like locks (Slater was a captain and Pro Bowl ST).

Other three:
Outside: Branch, Gaffney, Stallworth, Ocho, Underwood
Slot: Edelman, Gonzalez, Ebert

Two outside and one inside from those lists?

Slater isn't really a WR, he'll get one of the ST specialist spots. In addition to him, I think we'll have 6 WRs, but at least one of them will be mainly ST. Based on that, I'd guess that the following make the cut:

Sure things:
Welker
Lloyd
Gaffney

The rest:
Branch
Edelman
Stallworth
