the good ole days.... it seemed like they were so much more physical back then. maybe i'm romantacizing.

the key will be collapsing the pocket for the defense. can they do it consistently

they got the pieces, they just need to put the puzzle together.

I love watching Marshall Faulk get shoved onto his ass while he's just sitting there.

Glad you didn't see a 1970's show. You'd be wanting to sign Sugar Bear Hamilton

I first said the same thing...hey, that was 2001, let's move on. But as I watched that, I did see a lot of faces still on this team and playing key roles (Brady, Seymour, Vrabel, Bruschi). I think we still have 3-4 more great years and if they can keep drafting well, maybe we can stay the best team of the first TWO decades of this century. GO PATS!!!!!

It must be lousy to be so obcessed with winning you can't even acknowledge what got you there or enjoy the ride...or grasp the fact that if BB would like to have a player back he's probably still worth having.

That Team was hungry and They KNEW how to put a lick'on Somebody... 2001 was my Favorite Championship by far an away miles, and I'd take that group of hungry mutts over the '07-08 Group that won most of it's games by 3 TDs any day of the week.

    You mean the 2001 defense?

sure, that video would make me wanna pay Ty if this was 03. That video is 7 years old, not exactly anything that jumps out NOW.

I think a lot of people around here have forgot how ridiculously good Ty Law was for us. He was the Brady of the defense in 01 & 03, always coming up w the clutch play.

As a relatively new fan, that video was a nice watch (not a fan of Aerosmith though, hehe). I love how fast Defenses switch gears at the moment of an interception.

It doesn't convince what any players are worth now, but I genuinely enjoyed that. Thanks.

The Colts pansy rules committee does not allow defenses to hit like that anymore.

God damn that was a great run, huh? And that defensive effort in the SB...what an absolute clinic on how to play smashmouth football until the last whistle.

One comment to the OP, though: When watching that video just in terms of Ty Law it's hard to really say he was all that great...I saw three INT's: two right into his hands, the third a tipped ball that wasn't all that difficult a catch. That isn't to say he wasn't a fantastic CB while here because he absolutely was, but that video did nothing to highlight how special he was.

    #93 Jersey

Ty Law was a great DB and I'll bet he could still be effective on a team like ours that knows how to use its pieces to succeed.

Was there anything more beautiful than that game plam in SB36? Hit Faulk even if he's on the bench and beat the snot out of the receivers. Simple yet so effective!

Not a big Aerosmith fan myself, but that music was pretty damn good for that video. They could've really ruined it by using 'Chariots of Fire' or something.
