Saw this on KFFL:
Steelers | Team had shot at Arrington?
Sat, 22 Apr 2006 18:28:13 -0700
Howard Bryant, of the Washington Post, reports sources said New York Giants LB LaVar Arrington could have landed with his hometown Pittsburgh Steelers had he been willing to accept dramatically less money.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
What a scoop!!! Apparantly, Pittsburgh would have signed a potentially dominating player to a low contract if he was willing. Wow! Where do they get there sources?
I can see it now, the day after the draft: Sources close to the Patriots front office said the team could have landed the #1 pick in the draft to take Reggie Bush had Houston accepted a dramatically one-sided trade package and Bush agreed to sign for no more than $2 million a year.
Well um........yeah. Not that shocking.
