I guess you did not watch the game because it was cold and windy in Foxboro, MA. Besides, Peyton Manning had all the advantages:Manning played a better game last week than Brady did this week.
You are one of dumbest trolls on this message board. Your season is over and go cry yourself to sleep on the hick IndyStar message board.Well, proof that, though some Pats fans may be intelligent, they also have some of the dumbest in the league.
Ah, how charming and how predictable....PF1996 crawls out from under his rock like the insect he is to bash Tom Brady.
Seriously, if there is a bigger jackass on this MB claiming to be a Pats fan, I haven't seen him.
Manning is definitely the best QB in the league, with Brady a distant second.
Manning is the biggest choke artist in the NFL, as evident by last weekend's performance.
i dont care if brady threw 5 picks against this defense. if we're down by 4 with 2 minutes left and we got 1st and goal inside the 10, theres no chance we're not regaining the lead with brady as our qb.
move along manning fanboys
As much as I like Brady, the Chargers seem to have his number. He threw three picks against them last year too including the one that saved the game when Brown stripped McCree. The O line and receivers make him look better than he is. It's a good thing Belicheck decided to run the ball in the second half to cover up whatever is wrong with him.
Well, proof that, though some Pats fans may be intelligent, they also have some of the dumbest in the league.
The point really is that if Peyton's D had held SD to field goals instead of TD's, or if Brady's D had given up TD's instead of holding to FG's, Brady would have had a much worse choke today than Manning.
Yeah, sure guy. Brady has one bad game (his "choke game" against the Colts last year was hardly his fault, considering the offense put up over 30 points and the defense blew it) and all of a sudden he's terrible. Manning, as great as I think he is, has been significantly worse in the playoffs than Brady his entire career. As proven by this year. By the by, Brady was 22/33 today and threw for 2 TDs. We'll call him off (3 INTs versus Manning's 6 in the regular season), but many teams would consider that a masterful performance by their QB... spoiled us (by Brady) thinks it was horrendous.
Little Peytie plays in a heat controlled dome...Brady played in conditions that led to the high powered San Diego Chargers to score 4 FIELD GOALS...Ootball the moron wants to make a direct comparison between two totally different game conditions...uh...Pootball...remember when Peytie Crybaby played in these conditions in an AFC championship game??? In fact, slightly BETTER conditions than today???
that's right, Ootidiot....21 to THREE...three points, Sootball
Manning's stats against SD defense:
33/48; 402 yards ; 68.8% ; 8.38 ypp ; 3TD/2INT ; 97.7 QB rating ; 24 pts
Brady's stats against the same, albeit MORE TIRED, SD defense:
22/33; 209 yards ; 66.7% ; 6.33 ypp ; 2TD/3INT ; 66.4 QB rating ; 21 pts
Well, if Manning's performance against SD last weekend is "evident" of being "the biggest choke artist in the NFL", then I guess Brady is the biggest choke artist in sports.
Manning outperformed Brady despite the fact that Manning receivers DROPPED multiple balls and were responsible for at least one of his interceptions while Brady's receivers bailed him out on at least half of his completions and were NOT responsible for ANY of his interceptions.
Manning drove his team up and down the field without a running game. Brady generated points only because he had great field position and Maroney ran like a first round pick.
The Patriots won this game on the strength of their defense. Give Manning this defense last week and he would have won. Give Brady the Indy defense today and the Pats would have lost.
Well, you can continue to live in fantasy land. However these are the facts:
Brady, with a chance to take the lead in Denver - throws a pick to Champ Bailey
Brady, after stinking up the joint in SD and being bailed out by the defense, throws a pick as the Pats are moving into position for a score. Gets bailed out by Troy Brown
Brady with two chances late in the game in Indy's redzone, unable to score touchdowns, Pats settle for FGs
Brady, needing 4 yards to get a first down (not a score, just a first down) and seal the AFC championship, throws a near pick, incomplete pass
Brady, with one full minute and a time out, needing a touchdown to win - throws a pick to end the game
Brady, in redzone, where any score will seal the game against Carolina, throws a pick
Brady, against Indy, a score to seal the game, throws a pick
Brady, in red zone against Eagles, with Pats in position to score, fumbles the ball - Eagles recover.
All these are examples of Brady choking during the playoffs but because he's bailed out by his defense, people claim he's a "big game QB". Brady is no more a "big game QB" than Manning; if anything he's worse because he's not as good a QB as Manning and isn't able to beat really good defenses.
Brady is only good against soft coverage zones particularly when he has a clean/predictable pocket. He doesn't react well to pressure and doesn't lead his receivers well when the defense plays man coverage. He also isn't at all accurate throwing on the run or when he isn't set. Manning is much better at all of these things than is Brady, which is why Manning generally performs better against man coverage and when facing pressure.
:ditto:
Don't expect the homers on this board to acknowledge this reality.
Offense scored 27 points, with 13 coming in the second half even though at least TWO of those scoring drives began deep in Colts territory. Manning has not been "significantly worse" in the playoffs compared to Brady. In Brady's 16 playoff games, he has had a QB rating below 80 in 44% of those games. Manning has had a QB rating below 80 in 46% of his playoff games. Only a 2% difference despite the fact that the Colts defense has been average-bad throughout this time, placing additional pressure on the offense while Brady's D has alleviated the pressure on him to score points. Brady has had to bail out the Pats D only twice, in the SB with Carolina and last year. He succeeded once and failed once. Manning has had to bail out his D far more often and has been far more successful (with last year being the only exception). I don't think any team would consider three dumb, drive killing interceptions by their QB a "masterful performance".
Weis stated that only winds above 20 "like 40" would be a problem for an offense. Brady has played in the cold before. The weather certainly didn't prevent an injured Rivers from completing long passes at will to his receivers. Nor did the weather have anything to do with any of the interceptions in this game. Can't say I'm surprised by all the excuse making by the homers
yeah, Rivers really lit it up, troll...SD scored 12 points!!! Way to really show Brady!!! Yeah! Brady's gone to 4 Bowls in 7 years...MAJOR CHOKE ARTIST!!! Good thing the team carried him!!!
Now tell the attendant you need your Haldol, stat...
