Lets be honest here and admit that his overall ability stems from low testosterone levels. If you want him to fail then hope for a brutish mindset.

As long as he plays at a high level, yes, if he starts playing like crap, no. Ultimately fans want to win but they also want to root for someone they identify with, someone who inspires you to be better than you are, a man’s man. If the fans truly identify with a player/team they’ll stick with them through thick and thin, just look at the Red Sox over the decades.

As for the testosterone, I have no idea how much Brady produces but I don’t see what that has to do with his QB abilities. I think he’d be a more effective leader if he didn’t blow his top, whining and complaining on the field, and maintained control of himself. How can one expect to control your opposition if one cannot maintain control of oneself?

I'm getting to hate this damn lockout more and more every day. Even last off season this thread would have been moved to the Practice Squad on sight.

But this year, this type of thread is a monument to how far we have we are reaching to discuss anything Patriots or football. It's sad ,very sad.

If for no other reason than to eliminate any excuse for allowing acknowledged practice squad threads to litter and linger on the main forum to everyone's embarassment...:bricks:

Oh. my. god. What an embarrassing thread.

Sexism (both against men and women at the same time - never knew that was possible), homophobia, cheap insults, thoughtless discussion content ... wow. Where's the dislike button when you need it? I've seen jets fans post better content up here.

The guy does nothing wrong and he constantly gets **** for it.

There are far worse characters and douchebags in the NFL.

Honestly, forget about all the super model stuff.

The mans played with injuries that would make the critics on this board cry to there little momma's. Thats what really makes this thread laughable.

Half a season with broken ribs, and broken fingers on his throwing hand? Yeah, he's a real wimp.

Perhaps people would prefer a burly neanderthal like Ben Roethlisberger?

lmao...nice. Rapelisburger is way overrated. I wonder if he could even run an offense like this.

    Disable Jersey

I'm not sleeping with the guy, and I'm not his friend, so his manliness (or lack thereof) is only important to me as far as it impacts his play as QB for the New England Patriots. He may be metro enough to bring on some teasing, but he's man enough to be the best QB in the NFL, and to have won 3 Super Bowl titles for my favorite team.

The rest is just fodder for jokes.

To be fair, a majority of football fans prefer to scrambler over a pure pocket passer (Elway v Marino, Favre v. late Marino/Manning/Brady, Grogan v. anybody else from 1977-1987, Flute, Michael Bishop). It's more exciting to watch Big Ben rambling around and hucking it downfield than it is to watch Brady throw it a 3 yard completion to a hot route, even if the later is a smarter, better play.
