    ....the Pats win tonight?
Will the media make a huge extravaganza if they win?
    Will the Pats resist it?
Because I mean it's still not the Super Bowl. Right?

If they lose there will be huge celebration in any city that pronounces their "r"s.

Nope. Gotta win the Super Bowl. Otherwise, the 16-0 becomes trivia.

They celebrate every win, however briefly, more than we fans grasp. So yeah, there will be a celebration although what we see of it will be somewhat muted. The Lombardi remains the ultimate goal, but these guys all know the significance of an undefeated season. There has only been one other in a 14 game season and that was 35 years ago.

Pats fans on some level are becoming scared of embracing anything this team does short of winning it all. That is sad, because we are marginalizing some excellent seasons in the process of denying they won't win them all.

I remember thinking after XXXVI how would they ever top this...well, they have found ways! :D

It will be a lil more exciting than a usual regular season game, BUT this team knows the 19th win is the one they really want.

you know that bill has them all convinced that undefeated regular season dont mean crap. you know he has conviced them that they suck and are lucky to be where they are. i think the team will make as big a deal out of it as they did going 15-0

as usual; on the field we'll see handshakes, congrats. There won't be any dancing or jumping on the giants logo.

In the locker room, you'll (hopefully televised on all access) probably see more than the usual cebration/speeches

Oh ya, and unlike some teams, you won't see them holding pep rallys before their first playoff game

Despite what he says in public, I'd be willing to bet just the opposite. I bet Bill is telling them that they have won the division and HFA throughout and the ultimate goal remains the Lombardi. But they have a chance to do something really special tonight in the form of meeting a challenge that may never again present itself in their careers.

...Do your job...and if you do, tonight you could be the first NFL team to complete an undefeated season in 35 years.

ESPN's take in tomorrow morning's SportsCenter:

"So the Pats are 16-0....but does it really mean anything? Why the Pats will be one and done, coming up next."

    I love it! :)

Exactly what I picture in my head.

This game apparently means a lot to both teams at this point, but clearly has a huge historical significance to us.

I am nervous about this one, because I really want to win...

We can worry about the playoffs in another two weeks...

I can't see the Pats doing what the Sox did and cracking the Champagne. They haven't won anything yet.

This season is Superbowl or bust.

i would imagine there would be a little more smiles, a little more jumping and a little more laughing...

    but not much more...

they know the goal is the lombardi, but i would be a little dissapointed if they didnt show a litlle more exuberacen over going though an undefeated season....not a lot mind you, but more then usual

    #17 Jersey

I think the players will celebrate a little or even a lot and they deserve it.

I do NOT want to see a Gatorade shower though - that should only be for Championships.

Expect the usual BB in the locker room - great job everybody, your 16-0, that's important, great job - you earned it, nice win. Then he'll add 3 or for more "all rights" and remind them the goal is not 16-0 and they have a very tough road ahead, get some rest, and then he will utter the layers favorite phrase "see you Wednesday".

Can't wait to see Bruschi's "how do we feel about coming into NJ and going 16-0" Awwwwwwwwwwyeahhhhhhhhhh

I hope BB gets drenched with water tonight. He's the coach of the year for managing to keep this team on track for 16 straight weeks. Winning tonight would be a great accomplishment.
