I am curious to see who will be this years Marques Colston. Late round WR's can be found to make huge impacts on a franchise. Who will be that player? Jacoby Jones and Joel Filani are two WR's that would be late rounders with tremendous upside. Thoughts?

Anyone who is identified as next year's Colston BEFORE the draft, doesn't get picked low enough to be next year's Colston.

david ball, only 6 feet even and about 30 pounds lighter than colston, so it will be an uphill battle for mr ball to be the next colston

I believe the thread was more about production and not who will play similar to Colston

Jacoby Jones would probably be the one most compared to Colston, both in size and abilty.

The biggest knock on Colston was that he came from Hofstra. There were some minor things regarding his technique and his route running ability

Yeah. Colston is seven inches taller and runs a 4.50 while Ball runs a 4.60. There really is no comparison except for the fact that they both played for small colleges.

Did you hear him on Sirius NFL Radio on Friday night? The hosts thought he was going in the 2nd round and, of course, that interview was before he turned in a 4.39 at the combine.

Higgins said he timed @ 4.18 ..said hes going for 4.2 at least..he got a 4.48

u cant always listen to the players

Read my post again. The hosts (can't remember their names) thought Allison was going in the 2nd round. Allison didn't make any predictions, he said to "wait and see" and overall seemed humble.

oh my bad. it all demands who u talk to though..doesnt really matter what round he goes (if he goes 3-6), hes from a small school and under the radar and i think will be a great player

I agree about Jones. If you have the physical tools to make it in the NFL it doesn't matter if you went to a small school. Some team can fit you in their system.

It seems like UNH's Ball had a terrible time at the combine and was dropping balls in every drill, if anything this actually makes him more likely to be like ancolston type because he will now be drafter lower if at all, and could end up surprising people in camp
