Is the Giants offense a little like the Pats '07?

Obviously it is not even close to the same type of efficiency, but if you think about it:

-based on 3WR/1TE/1RB or 3WR/2RB offense
-the top three WR's are all great
-WRs that can get deep, and also play the slot well, YAC ability
-TE is not used a very large amount

-Oline that can be exposed, but that can also hold its own
-primarily a 2-back rotation
-QB is obviously not the same, but playing above average right now, either way without time it will not matter

this offense is also very dependent on medium to longer patterns by the receivers

what i am getting at is, this offense is SIMILAR to our own offense in '07, and if anyone knows how to stop that offense it is going to be BB

I think a lot of teams run a similar offense to the 2011 Giants. They have a good WR corps and QB but obviously nothing to what the Patriot had in 07. Next week the Patriots offense needs to be at their full potential and their defense needs to keep up the good work and we should be sitting pretty.

I don't think there's a team in the league that runs as complex offense as Gilbride's version of the run and shoot. Combine that with 2 excellent receivers + 1 good--and a "Manning" Qb and there you have it.
