Received an interesting article from Newsmax.com basically saying the end of the world is near. Heres a photo excerpt.

I know that newsmax.com can be an unreliable place to receive news...
but I ask you these questions.

    1. Are we close to economic and social collapse?
    2. If we ever do fall apart, how does the government retain order?
    3. What can we do as citizens to survive?
    4. What skills and abilities will be most marketable in anarchy?
    5. Where will I get Pizza?

Probably to some extent. More and more you need a good education to make a good living and we have too many people who don't have that education. I don't necessarily mean college but a good skill like an electrician or car mechanic - too many people can't do anything. Combine that with the expectation that everyone should have a new 50" TV, a nice car and a house, regardless of having an employable skill, and, yeah, things are changing.

lets just say that the probability is going up that the possession of a firearm will yield a beneft

lats also say that it might be more worthwhile to have at least a few weeks of non-perishable consumables lying around

I don't believe long-term chaos is inevitable, but I could see a feww weeks worth of mayhem at the hand of some kind of wide-scale terrorist attack leaving the entire public sector either running around in circles or hiding in their basements........

it is important to have a good repoire with your neighbors

The Attack, it's just a matter of time, Bush did a good job of keeping them out (Terrorists) but this new guy and his gang will tear that all down (don't offend anybody even the enemy) imagine someone wanting to kill you and you don't want to offend them......:singing:

Don't pour water up one terrorists nose, the result from this wonderful kind and caring act, 5000 people die from a Backpack Nuke.

Islamic Terrorists from another country who Are Not American Citizens have no rights what so ever under My Constitution, NONE.

As the man said "keep some extra food around" Bush is gone we now have a Far Left Wing Liberal calling the shots and we have thousands of religious fanatics who want to kill us all, trouble is right around the corner.

It's fun watching the right turn into hysterically paranoid conspiracy theorists the moment they are out of power. Carry on, nutbags.

Harry you live through the depression what happened? Were there food riots in the streets.... people steeling radios, board games, each others ice,or coal.....Was it like Mad Max with supped up Model-T's. And if someone stole yours how did you feel about someone "cranking your shaft" My mother live through the depression in the "inner city" she had eight brothers and sisters. I don't remember any stories about lotting, pillaging or raping. ;)

    Totally....

This is the same hysteria I was preparing for when the propect of nuCULar war with Iran was being not taken off the table by the last administration.

Having said that...if the US turns into a place where I need a gun to protect my family...I'm out.

    enjoy whats left.

It's a whole new ballgame today, different values, different people, different times, nothing to do now but wait, the people have spoken they have elected to let the Liberal Loons run the country, so be it, now we wait for what we do not know but given The Far left Liberal track record we could be in for a bit of trouble................:(

While social unrest, from a gubmit, or financial failure, is highly unlikely, I don't think it's impossible. As some have alluded to in here on occasion, every empire is doomed to fail. While I don't see the US as an empire, I do think that the future fiscal obligations, and current size of gubmit, are unsustainable (has been for a long time), which could cause instability down the road. I do know that there is a lot of anger out there, a lot of uncertainty, and a limited amount of resources to move us forward. I truly doubt unrest becomes a reality though.

It really is amazing that the same people who criticized "liberals" for the "I'm moving to Canada" reaction after Bush was re-elected now seem to think that it's appropriate to talk about grabbing guns, taking to the streets, and the overall prospect of violent civil unrest being justified because "there is a lot of anger out there," as a result of a democratic election.

One side would rather move to another country after four years of failed policies, the other side wants to start a violent revolution the second they lose an election. No spin at all in your statement:rolleyes:

Maybe you should try to stay on the topic of the thread then instead of interjecting more useless nonsense.....just a thought.

Its pretty amazing how one side makes everything partisan, and the other side sticks to the subject.
