To have a show not populated by mindless idiots? Apparently it is. There is no good choice, they are all equally unwatchable.

What sent you over the edge, Boomer's contention that the JETS will make the playoffs and Sanchez is their QB, or Shannon's contention that Michael Vick's dynasty begins today...or were you watching the idiots on ESPN or NFLN...LOL

thats what you get when you hire washed up, bitter old players. They hold too many grudges and the opinions they have are not based on anything but what they think...kind of like mine, but i do it from the couch.

I'm watching CSNNE, Felger is an idiot but Ty and Troy are good.

Felger alone often makes a program unlistenable. No matter who you pair him with.

I'm watching the Eagles pre-game show on CSNPhilly. Infinitely better than any of the grotesquely inane drivel from any of the 4 networks.

I used to hate him the same now i find him somewhat acceptable considering the others out there such as DeOssie and Gresch.

Troy does not look like Troy anymore with that round face.

Flipping around and as I type this, NFLN is talking Tebow....go figure.

I gave up watching pre-games shows mid-way thru last season mostly due to the seemingly constant anti-Patriot rhetoric. Plus I get tired hearing people yelling over each other trying to get their opinion across.

When I had it on for a brief time earlier they were talking about talking about Tebow. Wicked clevah.

I had NFLN on in the background for about 15 minutes and in that time — in addition to the Tebow segment — I got to see Sapp mockingly laughing at the notion that the Pats D improved enough to be good this year, and M Faulk empathizing with Saints players because "everyone does it but they're the ones who got caught."

Click.

Really, my strategy for game day is to turn off football until game time, other than occasional checks here and with my Twitter followees.

I feel you AQB, I usually just try to avoid these as much as possible. Today's an exception just because I missed football so much.

But Shannon Sharpe just now (probably my least favorite of the bunch) dropped a gem. "2 bad cooks shouldn't open a resteraunt" while referring to Sanchez/Tebow. I'm sure he'll come back and say something completely stupid though to make up for it.

Serious question, here: Does anyone know when this happened??

And exactly what happened??

There was a time ~ for about 10 or 15 years, in fact ~ when I would forego a solid 7 or 8 hours of sleep to recover from Saturday night, and settle for 4 or 5 and bear the ensuing grogginess and residual hangover, just so I could watch every second of Boomer and Friends ~ I never watched the Howie + Terry Show or anything.

But a few years ago, it dawned on me that I just didn't like the show anymore ~ and hadn't, for quite some time ~ and that watching it was based on Habit, and nothing more...so I stopped.

Does anyone else remember it this way??

Seems to me that it used to be fairly stuffed with substantial, meaty FootBall content...But no longer.

Did I imagine that content, in the past?? Serious question!!

I avoid these shows as much as possible. Can't stand all the fake laughter.

As it seems in all modern media, "The medium has become the message".... to paraphrase Marshall McLuhan.

OTG :before the net became SO pervasive those shows were our main insight into our team and its weekly opponents. No more with Twitter, blogs by people who actually analyze the game and educated posters here on Patsfans we don't need the ex-players with their axes to grind. They've been exposed for being one dimensional at best in their football knowledge

That there was pretty funny but you actually deciphered that from SS? :Dennis
