Should we expect more than a couple minor additions (perhaps at FB and/or LS) and jags for camp competition? Do we have money for anything else? I was hoping to re-sign Mike Wright, but perhaps we should be looking to an early pick instead to fill the position.

I wouldn't be surprised if BB decided to use Sammy at FB this year

Re: Is Free Agency All But Over Now?

When you put it like that, it seems we'd go for O-Line / D-Line in the draft... wow.

Re: Is Free Agency All But Over Now?

Adam Seward still isn't on the team.

Re: Is Free Agency All But Over Now?

Funny, but LB and future considerations on O-Line/D-Line now seem like the glaring draft needs.

Hm. I'm hoping for a day one safety and OLB - after that, hard to say. Makes you wonder who won't be on that roster in September though. That's a pretty deep team, talent-wise.

Re: Is Free Agency All But Over Now?

I still think Jason Taylor would be a great fit for this team. Questions is: can we still afford him?

His signing would be the final piece. Then we could trade a couple of day one picks for higher ones in 2010. We could fill holes with our remaining three day one picks along with second day projects.

Re: Is Free Agency All But Over Now?

My draft priorities are
DE
ILB
OLB
WR
S
OG
OT

We have seven picks in the top 120 picks and seven needs, a nice match of needs and resources. We could even draft a long snapper in the 6th. I think there are three that are available.

================
The vulnerable include at least the following, so there is plenty of room for upgrades:
WR Ventrone
RB/FB BJGE
OG Yates
OT O'Callaghan
C/LS Connelly
QB Gutierrez
DL Adams
LB Alexander, Ruud, Redd
DB Richardson, Spann

Re: Is Free Agency All But Over Now?

I have listed Springs as a safety, since without an addition, he would be our #3 safety, However, I expect the #3 safety to be drafted in the second round, as does almost everyone else.

isnt springs a CB?
