While watching the Giants Cowboys game one of the announcers says Strahan and Tiki are future HOF'ers. Tonight We have Chad Johnson and that stupid gimmick saying he's a future HOF. And we also have Ray Lewis being annointed a future HOF. The term is being thrown away way too losely.

Future HOF'er is being commonplace like probowler.

Well they need to be nice to Tiki or he'll start bloviating about the flaws in their characters.

Strahan is a maybe, Chad Johnson is a probably not, but Ray Lewis is a definite, sure-fire first ballot guy.

It is an age of hyperbole. You are correct that it is silly.

Ray Lewis is a future hall-of-famer. Chad Johnson thinks he is. Tiki isn't, and something tells me that Strahan's sack total will become less impressive when Freeney, Merriman, and other rushing specialists put up similar/better #s.

Lewis - yes
Strahan - maybe
Johnson - maybe
Tiki - no

Tiki has no chance. Chad Johnson has a long way to go.
That bit with the jacket wasn't funny, just stupid.

Everyone here is saying that Lewis is a sure thing but I disagree. I'm not saying he won't get it. Just that when it's his time, that whole murder thing could come back to bite him in the butt.

Tiki? no
Strahan? yes
Lewis? yes
Johnson? keep doing what you do and your in

Once they let Thermal in they pretty much ruined everything....

This is Chris Schenkel calling a Celtics-Knicks game back in the early seventies. Everyone on the floor was a superstar, except for Phil Jackson who was on the verge of becoming a superstar!

Sportscasters have, over the years, becoming little more than masters of hyperbole, trying to outdo each other, as well as the past. It's come to a point where, should the Second Coming occur tomorrow, they'd be at a loss for words, because they've already blown things up to cosmic proportions, and there would be no way that such an event could top all they've sold us in the past.

Lord knows, they've lost the fine art of calling a game.
