Look if Bob or Johnathan Kraft have now eased there way back into the football spotlight, just let us know.. But if there was no problems ,and Bill Belichick is in total charge of football operations, why was there a Randy Moss trade...??? Because ownership wanted him gone... They were not going to pay him, they were offended on how moss trashed the Pats name and brand between the gala and opening day... Belichcik then must have no control of the organization anymore.. because if he does , he sound like he had no problem with Randy Moss.. No matter.. we will move on as we always do, curious to see if a Vincent jackson or Deion Branch join the team, would make a lot of sense on why this has happened, because im still a little puzzled..

I'd rather have my coach and front office tell me that we need to get a player taken care off no matter which way. then an owner telling the coach who has to stay and go.

The coach sees them everyday in the locker room and on the field the owner not so much

If Belichick isn't the one calling all of the shots, then that's a problem. Given BB's track record here, and what came before him, I think/hope that the Krafts know better than to interfere.

I suspect it was really Goodell who engineered this, to clear the way for the Jets. Yes, they may lose on Monday night, but Goodell is hell bent on giving the Jets the AFC East.

This is the very worse thread yet on this subject.

When Bob Kraft went on WEEI to clear up apology-gate, I believe he said something to the effect that he is made aware of all business aspects of the team, but is not directly involved.

Kraft has allowed Belichick to call the shots while retaining veto power. I would be surprised if Kraft had a hand in this.

Bob Kraft made that mistake with Bill Parcells, causing Parcells to leave. It's possible the same thing is happening now with Jonathan Kraft starting to assert more influence.

I think Belichick made some statements regarding this trade that made him seem gracious and professional. And, much to no one's surprise, people are taking those statements and interpreting them to mean that he never wanted Moss to go and it's all the Krafts fault - damn those Krafts!

I think people need to smarten up. What is Belichick suppsoed to say? "Moss was a huge disruption and there was no choice but to send his sorry ass back to Minnesota"...? All of a sudden we have the 2 weeks before Super Bowl 31 all over again.

I think Wilfork already refuted the whole "Moss was the distraction" thing. You may want to go check on that before jumping to Kraft's defense.

Judging from how the Moss case was handled, I'd say nobody is in charge.

Wilfork parroted what BB said. Which means one thing and only one thing -- that Vince isn't looking to be traded or cut.

As for the silly premise of the thread and Kraft not wanting to pay Moss. BB knows there will be a salary cap again. And Kraft has always allowed BB to spend every penny of the cap. If BB thought Moss was worth paying the money to resign him next year, Kraft would have gone along with it. BB obviously doesn't and Kraft has gone along with that as well.

At the same time, the accusations that Moss asked to be traded or forced his way out town, or was pouting specifically because he wasn't getting the ball, are complete conjecture.

It is very likely Moss was shipped out just like Seymour was, nothing personal, without any need to further trash Moss on his way out.

Oh, I know what Wilfork said... but I highly doubt Wilfork was in the room when Moss had his alleged confrontation with the QB coach during halftime of a huge divisional road game. Wilfork is just echoing the party line because the best way to lessen the distraction from this move is to make like everything was absolutely fine.

But you go on believing the Krafts are the boogeymen! May I suggest you loosen the pink hat you're wearing so you can increase oxygen flow to vital organs?

Bullcrap. I saw his meltdown following the Cincy game with my own 2 eyes (like probably 99% of the rest of this forum). There ain't nothing "conjecture" about it.

A confrontation that everyone has said never happened. So do you have a habit of believing every baseless rumor you hear? I know exactly what the krafts are because I know the history of the team and how we usually handle players who want to get paid.
