    I think Obama is demonstratably wrong when he says "People don't want cheaper T-shirts if it costs their job". People keep pouring into Wal Mart and prove him wrong. The alternative is significantly higher prices - which may be an OK alternative to some, many or most but protecting jobs here that can be done cheaper there isn't like pressing Staples' Easy Button.

    I think eventually those growing economies will face many of the problems we faced when our factories declined. Until then we need something to balance things out.

    However, it's near impossible to balance things out when you need these foreign countries to finance our debt. These candidates talk the pain but cut off toy imports from China and they will hit back.

    you're right about Walmart and it's a complicated issue for sure.
