Not being an attorney or in law enforcement, I'm wondering if it would be warranted for law enforcement to conduct a criminal investigation concerning the over inflation of the Patriots' footballs in the Jets game?
Given the meticulous protocols the NFL officials follow when it comes to ball inflation, can there be any other explanation for the over inflation of these balls other than it being an intentional act by the responsible official. There are statutes on the book covering point-shaving and other attempts to influence athletic contests so why wouldn't the over inflation of the balls to influence the game be a criminal act?
