To Recap, Romney wont the popular vote by the slimmest of margins. The popular vote in a caucus is not what the state is about, it's about delegates.

Today, Romney, Santorum, and Paul are tied with 7 delegates a piece.

Michelle Backmann is holding a press conference today, she's out I am sure, and even Perry has cancelled all of his South Carolina events, everyone expects Perry to drop his bid as well.

    Interesting night, on to NH.

My guess is that the Tea Partiers will rally behind Santorum, and as a result Paul will be out of the race before long.

The burning question is, If Romney wins the Republican nod, will there be a third party? Ron Paul is a position to make that happen since there's evidence he appeals to broad swath of the electorate, though I think his support will dwindle as his views become better understood.

Yep, after a morning of "RE-assesing" his campaign, he let that tweet out. Obviously he's going to stay gun ho until he quits, but he's done...

Bachmann is the only one out.

Santorum doesn't have the $$$$ to compete nationally, listening to him in the debates is like watching paint dry, in NH Romney will spend a lot of $$$ and hit Santorum.

If Paul goes third party he will hurt Obama more than the pubs. He seems to be most popular among the anti war crowd as we have seen on this board...

well, were that to happen, we'd at least know where those so-called tea partiers actually stand on "small government"

    Relative to what?

The only candidates for the Tea Party now are Santorum and Gingrich, both are much better than Obama or Romney with respect to spending.

    Paul

Santorum v. Paul can be seen as a clear referendum on one's view of small government (which isn't simply spending).
