I don't get it, I don't get how blacks can vote 98% for Obama and I don't get how Obama has such a huge majority on the economy when there's no evidence he has any idea how to make it better - other than raising taxes and hiding it. Oh well. We made it through Clinton, we'll make it though the Obamanation of the next 4 years.

People don't really think of credentials or proof, just that he's not an (R) so he'll be better, since an (R) is here now and the economy is bad. The real problem is more complicated than that, but this is how it boils down to the people. This is why the Founders shied away from direct democracy.

why do you support a candidate who was involved in the keating scandal, essentially supported the exact policies that created this financial mess, and voted with the dumbarse bush 90% of the time?

Well we disagree on those details, McCain was on the outskirts of the Keating thing and there's other threads where there's been discussion of which policies created this mess. I just don't get why people think Obama is some economic genius or how one group, any group, can vote for him 98%.

McCain and his family got to take free trips to Keating's mansion in the Bahamas. Out of all of the senators involved, McCain was considered the closest personally with Keating partly because they both came from the same state.
