That's fine but Palin had a lot of support in most of the other questions.

    Two points :

    1) "if that becomes necessary" - I read an article, no link - I can look later if someone questions it - that had stats that showed that the probability of McCain dying in the next 4 years is 14%. Not zero for sure, but still not likely.

    2) The main thing Palin has done is excite the base so that McCain can now campaign where he campaings best - in the middle.

I didn't read the whole thing but this one surprised me as some what out of line with the other answers in the survey.

"As mayor she obtained 27 million dollars in federal funding for projects in her town of about 7,000 people"

    32% more favorable
    19 % less favorable
    48% no change
    1% unsure.

32% were impressed with the accomplishment and only 19% went holy sh!t thats a lot of pork.

Palin isn't yet ready to lead the country but she'll be doing her homework.

Many in the media are not properly talking about what Palin does for McCain. If she continues to just be herself she could be responsible for more people getting to the polls. that was McCains biggest problem ... people who liked him were also indifferent about him ... ie ... not excited.

The republicans have the opportunity to elect the first female VP ever ... no small feat for the gop. Sounds perhaps un-American but some people will go to the polls just to vote McCain/Palin to see her get in.

And getting them to the polls in the states where they are needed. Her selection and where she campaigns was not designed for the East Coast but for the heartland where her message will resonate. She won't be in Philly , NYC or the big cities but in Iowa, Kansas, the Dakotas where rural is not seen as synonymous with stupid and backwards.....

Palin may not be ready to lead the country but she sure wiil 4 years from now just in time to take on Pant Suit.

If something happens to Mccain in office she has plenty of able help to take care of anything and that includes War.

I watched some of the Obama/O'Reilly interview this kid isn't ready for the job either.

After the conventions have died down. Yeah, it's been a couple of weeks since Obama was crowned, and a couple of days since Palin was. Way to friggin go!

    WOOOOOHOOOOOO!

Palin has more experience right now than William Jefferson Blythe Clinton.

So why don't you put that in your corncob and puff away, you sour old curmudgeon.

As opposed to those who'll go to vote for/against the first cafe au lait colored candidate?

The sooner we get over the color of people's skin, or the size of their breast tissue, the better off we'll be.

Lady Thatcher was one of the greatest PM's Britain ever had.

    Think about it.
