The left-wing Mother Jones magazine ran an article on Mr. Freedom Fries, the conservative religious congressperson who led that campaign. Now, Walter Jones has second thoughts about the Iraq war. Jones does not seem to be insincere. He's not one of these congressmen who's distancing himself from Bush for political reasons. He seems like a very principled man who is changing.

Well, of course, but do check out the article. You might not agree with the guy, but unless you're a party-line Republican, I think you'll appreciate that his reasoning is based very much on conservative values.

They didn't articulate what values caused his change of opinion. I disagree with 'setting' a timetable, wars don't work like that. As I have stated clearly here, the way to shorten the war is to let the emeny know they cannot and will not win.

Ironically it is beginning to appear that we will win and be withdrawing trrops BEFORE the artifical timetables laid out by the defeatist.

He will, without a doubt, be "swiftboated" and called some kind of traitor. Unfortunately, those who disagree with GWB will incur the rath of the inner circle.
