A lot of units have been hit this year, but one thing that hasn't been all THAT bad is piling on of hits to any one unit. To wit:
QB -- Dinged up but still playing well.
RB, feature -- #1 guy hasn't played much.
RB, shotgun -- #1 guy IRed. Replacement has been a revelation.
TE -- Fine.
WR -- #1 guy flamed out. His replacement is dinged-up but playing. #4 guy hasn't contributed much either for whatever reason.
T -- Top bench guy is on IR.
OL, interior -- If you count Kaczur as a tackle, only one guy out at a time.
K/P/LS -- Lost 2 of the 3 guys who started the season.
DL -- Lost 2nd-best guy. Key rotation guy/arguable starter is hurt now too, as are some depth guys.
OLB -- Fine, except insofar as health kept Crable from competing better.
ILB -- Fine.
S -- Top 3 guys have been pretty healthy. The carnage has been at #4.
CB -- Top guy IRed. Wheatley's health may have hurt him in competing. Wilhite may be playing more dinged up than we'd like.
But depth is shallow right now at distressingly many positions. Other than TE, LB, or S, it's hard to think of a position where we could lose a good player without feeling a lot of pain as a consequence.
