Say the right thing in their ears and they will overlook the blatant greed and corruption...people vote for a name and someone they recognize, he is hard to miss and hard to forget.

Only when he is finally sent to jail will he be thrown out of office and even then he won't be going without a fight.

Too bad, after Wilkerson got rejected at the pols I'd hoped that area had turned a corner. Hopefully this is just a brief backslide.

I get a kick out him claiming his old Mazda shows he's just a regular guy. Boston city councilors make around 80 grand a year there Chuck. You're driving that beater because you're either disastrously bad at managing your money or you're a fraud.

It says that he's done a good enough job that his constituents are giving him the benefit of the doubt. They obviously believe there's a good chance he's innocent. What makes you (and atomdomb) so certain he's guilty?

That's evidence, but you can't think of one other possible explanation, but that of a single witness and that image (or video)? The FBI has certainly been clean in the Boston area over the years. No reason to doubt them, huh.

Obviously, the people in his district trust Truner, primarily because he's done a lot of good for tenant rights, I think.

You have got to be kidding me...caught red handed and you go for the frame defense

No. No he has not. He hasn't brought jobs to the district, he hasn't improved any of the decaying buildings in Dudley Square and drove out any attempts by the city to buy and rehab the vacant and abandoned properties that would be used by agencies that are needed by the constituents.

That photo of Chuck Turner accepting a fist full of fifty's did not help his credability.

Then again Patters you probably believe that Diane Wilkerson is innocent too.

No, Wilkerson has a whole history of screwups. Turner on the other hand does not have that history, so I think there's a good chance that he's not guilty of anything criminal.

He has had a history of tax problems dating back to well before he was elected to the city council in 2001 to the point where he has an $18,000 lien against his house for failure to pay taxes in the 1980s. He has also had severe fines from the RMV for failure to pay fines.

This is also the same guy who claims that 90% of politicians are taking bribes...this may be the first time that investigators have been able to make anything stick to him directly to the point where they could indict and arrest him.

He lives by his own set of rules, he got caught in the act. Just because you don't know his past history doesn't absolve him of his past problems. He is a classic scumbag using his position to try to bully his way out of a problem.

The guy must be so innocent that he has to beg the President and Attorney General to drop the case...which neither have done despite the "bogus" evidence- yup, FBI frame job going so far up that it reaches them
