Did you also read the reactions to that post? You were not the only one laughing at it. To be fair to that fan base, that post was an aberration, more or less.

Jets fans really are the gift that keeps on giving, aren't they? Their crappy, sub-500 team beats two opponents' backups and suddenly they think they can take on the world...

I especially like where he calls Braylon and Cotchery the best WR 1-2 punch around. They're maybe the third best WR 1-2 punch in the AFC East. Even without Welker, I'd take Moss and Edelman over them.

de-lu-sion (dĭ-lōō'zhən) n.: A false belief strongly held in spite of invalidating evidence, especially as a symptom of mental illness: delusions of grandeur.

The original poster of that thread is a joke on the his own board. He is generally recognized as a delusional homer by fellow Jets fans. Not worth our time even discussing.

Even Jets fans in that thread admit that two weeks ago, most of the people on their board were trashing the team and after playing two teams that laid down it is ridiculous to call them the most talented team.

Not sure what the infatuation with the Jets are on this board. We're not playing them this week or the following week should the Pats win. Seems like there's more posts about them than the Ravens which I find odd.

The fact that Bryan Thomas garnered only a "time to step it up" likely indicates that Thomas wears his helmet backwards and tries to lick the football every time it's in his vicinity.

    Disable Jersey

He made 8 posts over at PP. In 8 posts, he started his posting career with the sequel to War and Peace, predicted a Jets win against the Falcons and a Patriots loss to the Bills, and delved into spygate/Belichick the cheater.

Here's my favorite reply in that thread:

"You need a therapist, you need medication, you need... I dunno, an exorcist or something.
But you NEED to step away from the computer.
No, as a matter of fact, that's not enough. Step away from the computer, find some way to fit a car in your house/apartment/place of dwelling, and run over the computer. When the computer is sufficiently destroyed, set the remains on fire.

    Please."

Oh man... I read his first post and wanted to blow my brains out. What a loser.

As for the original link in this thread, the best reply was this one:

This post is 6 pages double spaced, 12 font Arial, in Word.

    1,391 words total.

I didn't read one word but let me guess it can be summed up as "The Jets r awezome"

    lol =D

Every board has these types of posters.. delusional fools that can see no wrong in their team. It's just funnier because it's a Jets homer and we all know what Jets homers are like.

The funniest part about that guy DWC2 is he writes so MUCH but says so little. He drives the other posters there nuts.

Well, infatuation isn't the word you're looking for, but that's beside the point. It shouldn't be hard to figure out why there's a back and forth with the Jets here. New York-Boston is always a rivalry, Parcells left the Pats for the Jets, then Belichick passed on the Jets' job to come here, then Mangini went to the Jets and stabbed Belichick in the back......I mean, you don't get it?

Not only that if you read in the thread, the guy has been banned from multiple Jets message boards including Jets Insider, but was reinstated because Jets Insider wanted to increase their traffic stats and they recinded all the lifetime bans.
