For years I've been saying this to my children in an attempt to be funny, and unfortunately it's only been a joke between my wife and I because it was part of our generation. So I thought I'd post it to see if anyone else remembers it:

YouTube - Time for Timer: "Hanker for a Hunk o' Cheese"

Hopefully there are some who do :D

Dude... you are making me feel old. Chill. :D

But seriously...that took me back to my childhood for a minute. Saturday morning cartoons... and a big bowl of cereal. :)

That guy always kind of confused me because it was not a commercial for a brand name. I was always waiting for the company line. Who is this cartoon telling me to eat cheese? I realized that it was a PSA, but still confused. Maybe it was a government thing because cheese was subsidized? Wow when did I become so jaded?

I was singing School House Rock songs with my kids last night. They did a School House rock show at school. Brilliant that it has endured so long.

Anyone remember After School Specials? The Eighteenth Emergency was one of my favorite books. Marv Hammerman and Garbage Dog aka GD. That is required reading in my house.

Dude! Wow, I've been humming this tune for ages. Excellent find Ian. Now I need the Electric Company opening.

Sorry I don't remember it and I remember a lot. It must be a New Hampshire thing. :D
